- TriviaIn the book that Teddy shows Older Pete (lining him up against Endless Mike), several names of crew members can be seen on the rest of page. Since none of the wrestlers' names are credited, it remains unknown to viewers if these are the actual names of the wrestlers (sons of the crew) or just names of the crew used as an in-joke - setting property master Tim K. Smith to wrestle at 120-129 lbs., production auditor Liz Dykhouse to wrestle either gaffer Sean Sheridan or the art department's Dylan Jude Sheridan at 140-149 lbs., and assigning script supervisor Dina Waxman to wrestle heavyweight.
- GoofsAt the weigh-in, the front shot shows Pete wearing a burgundy wrestling singlet. Then from the back, and he's wearing a white jacket. Then, back to the front, and he's wearing the wrestling singlet again.
- Quotes
Big Pete Wrigley: [voiceover] Behold the glory of the varsity letter. It's only a six inch piece of low pile carpet, but once you attach it to a varsity jacket, you've got the power of the mighty 'W' - with the power to cut in line, the power to melt girls into love-putty, and the power to snicker at life from the back of class.

Rick Gomez (Endless Mike) shines in this episode.
Big Pete has his eye on getting a varsity letterman's jacket because he has seen the special privileges that the jacket brings. From getting to break in line, to melting girl's hearts- Pete wants some of that ability. So Pete goes out for the wrestling team and since he is fourth string all he has to do is show up for practice and he has the jacket.
Endless Mike is so put off by Pete being on the team that he changes schools and joins their wrestling team. And when Endless Mike causes some mishaps, all of the sudden Pete is now first string and he is going to have to wrestle Endless Mike.
Meanwhile, the coach of Pete's team, Beeno Glader, knows nothing about real wrestling. But it just so happens that Ellen's uncle, an alligator wrestler, has taught her the moves it takes to wrestle. Ellen is going to coach Pete to a victory until Coach Gladner suspends her from school.
Was going into the episode not expecting too much, but was pleasantly surprised with the outcome of the show. The script was funny, the acting was some of the best of the series and the story was interesting- everything needed for a great show. There are some darn funny gags in this show like when the boy getting sucked up into the hand-dryer and then someone else getting flatten by a vibrating bed- there was lots of stuff going on all through the show. Rick Gomez, that plays Endless Mike, did one of his best jobs as he fills the screen with gems every time he appears.
It is nice to get surprised by a nice show and this was like an forgotten gift at Christmas. And the gift was exactly what was needed. Good show!
