It is said that Daylight Savings Time was founded during World War Two, but it was actually founded in World War One by Emperor (Kaiser) Franz Josef of the Austrian-Hungarian Empire. All of Europe was using it by the end of the War. The United States did not use Daylight Savings Time until World War Two. Even more so, it was not used after the War until the Mid-1950s.
