Cris Abrego, quite fittingly, has had one of the more surreal career trajectories in entertainment. A reality producer who got his start logging tapes for Road Rules before going on to create aughts hits such as Flavor of Love, Celebrity Paranormal Project and The Surreal Life, he segued to the C-suite after the 2008 acquisition of his 51 Minds Entertainment shingle by Dutch-based multiplatform media company Endemol. “I certainly felt something shift when I sold my first business,” says Abrego, who was 36 at the time. “To have that kind of windfall at that age was life-changing.”
Rather than rest on those early laurels, the East Los Angeles native was “hungry to do it all again,” and he not only survived subsequent corporate mergers and acquisitions but steadily rose through the ranks, becoming CEO of Endemol Shine North America and now chairman of French media behemoth Banijay’s North American operations, where he...

Neil Berkeley scored a big subject for his second documentary, but it was pure luck that made it happen. Shortly after completing his second documentary, 2014’s “Harmontown,” Berkeley casually mentioned to a friend that he was interested in making a film about legendary comedian and actor Gilbert Gottfried. Unbeknownst to Berkeley, his friend happened to be close with Gottfried’s wife.

“Gilbert” will have its world premiere Thursday at the 2017 Tribeca Film Festival, but the surprisingly poignant documentary could very well have never been made. Berkeley never asked Gottfried’s agent or manager for permission to shoot the documentary, and was only invited to the 62-year-old comedian’s home by his wife Dara.
“She said, ‘Why don’t you just come out here by yourself and keep it...

Show of hands: Who had “sexy cowboy” in the What Costume Will Gary Busey Wear to Announce He’s Joining Dancing With the Stars office pool?
PhotosDancing With the Stars Season 21 Cast
If it’s you, congratulations. Busey did, in fact, wear the aforementioned costume while announcing his participation Tuesday during a surprise — but not entirely surprising — appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! Did I forget to mention Busey came in on a white horse? That part is crucial.
In case you’re not up on your Busey history, this is hardly the Bikini Model Academy star’s first time at the reality rodeo.

Remember the first ever Love Island with its seemingly clueless single celebrities constantly bickering on a tumultuous and stormy (literally and metaphorically) Fijian island?
Even the show's co-hosts Kelly Brook and Patrick Kielty were baying for one another's blood when Kielty decided to declare during one live show that Brook had previously dated contestant Paul Danan.
Other memorable highlights included Abi Titmuss becoming more and more enraged as Fran Cosgrave repeatedly referred to her as Vanessa Feltz, swiftly followed by a tipsy and uncouth Rebecca Loos letting rip.
The series aired almost exactly a decade ago, so we found ourselves wondering - whatever happened to eventual winner Jayne Middlemiss? And the Love Island love god that was Lee Sharpe?
As the new non-celebrity series currently enjoys its ITV2 revival, we find out what the 12 star contestants have gone on to do since their 2005 stint below:

It’s true; no matter what certain networks may claim about their “winter finales,” winter doesn’t actually start until December 21, and isn’t over until March 20. Syfy, at least, understands this, and has announced their appropriately-titled winter schedule accordingly.
Happily this means that, starting on Monday, January 14, 2013, we will have some great television to get us through the cold months, including the return of Being Human and Lost Girl, and the premiere of Continuum, and later in the week, the return of Ghost Hunters and Face Off.
Here’s the schedule of premieres, along with series synopses:
Syfy’S 2013 Winter Programming Highlighted By Series Premieres Of Ghost Mine, Robot Combat League, Stranded And Continuum Season Returns Of Hits Being Human, Face Off, Total Blackout, Ghost Hunters, Lost Girl, Haunted Collector And Final Season Of Merlin
New York – December 4, 2012 – Syfy will kick off the New Year with a robust winter...

Coolio became a world-famous rap star in 1995 when he released the number one single 'Gangsta's Paradise'. He scored three other UK Top 10 singles and released three platinum albums during his musical pomp. In more recent times, the California rapper has become famed for his cookery and thespian skills. With six children, TV roles, movie cameos and his own online food show, the rapper has kept himself busy despite his rapidly declining music sales. 1. Coolio is a collector of snow domes. 2. Before Celebrity Big Brother, Coolio was no stranger to TV work. He has previously appeared on Sabrina The Teenage Witch, Celebrity Fear Factor, Celebrity Paranormal Project and his own cookery show, the snappily titled Cookin' With Coolio. 3. "I refuse to make food without flavour," says Coolio. The (more)...
