Fine for what it is

This is one of the three featurettes on the Director's Cut DVD of the Dawn of the Dead remake of 2004, and appears to be the only of them that is up for reviewing. It consists of interviews, behind the scenes footage and movie clips. The basic concept here is that they go over six memorable zombies, and detail how they did the make-up effects on them and/or their death effect. An obvious problem with this idea is that the last one they do isn't a case of that at all, but rather a human character dying(yeah, don't watch this unless you've already seen the flick, it contains spoilers)... some would say one of the most memorable death sequences(and I wouldn't necessarily deny that), so I'm not arguing with going into the FX behind it, merely pointing out that it goes against the limited and simplistic idea behind this entire production(all seven well-paced minutes of it). This isn't really "bad" as such, it's just only looking to inform about one thing, though they do actually point out a related thing or two about the film. It's well-edited. I recommend this to anyone interested in the subject. 6/10
