nothing new

it is strange. a nice cast, a nice story and waves of confusion. because the ambition of director is huge. result - a story about death, love, meetings, pain, sense of life, sacrifices of past, hole of future, roots of facts, power of words. too many ! so, it is easy to not be enough. because the ornaments covers a tree of smoke. nothing convincing, nothing profound. only a long and strange lesson with a not inspired but generous end. it is one of films who desires be special using common ingredients. it is not an error. only a work without end.because each scene is only exercise for ambiguous project. but, important are good intentions. and the desire of actors to do reasonable characters.

sweetly sad

I started watching this idly, not really expecting anything but a low grade B movie and checking other channels for something more interesting. Consequently I might have missed something, but once I got invested in watching it I found it weirdly okay.

Things come together and are explained at the end, which I always like and it's an unexpected conclusion that I, unexpectedly, never saw coming. But perhaps, like I say I might have missed something earlier on. I usually guess the endings.

I thought this was sad, sweet and tragic all in one. I rather enjoyed it. Makes you think about your own life and the attainment of happiness.

puzzle story

not different by many other independent films. a story as pretext for reflection. about past, family, happiness, love, decisions and choices and limits and escapes. about the other. so, familiar things. but useful. for Beau Bridges performance. for the spirit of an age. for questions. for decent acting. for the flavor of a lonely America. sure, it is not the expected film for many genres of public. but it is beautiful. the beauty of small details, familiar situations, words as as wings, need to be happy and to understand your life in a coherent image. and, maybe, it is enough. for the state after the end credits.
