Solid Episode, Plus Lee VanCleef
dougdoepke29 June 2017
Lots of action, some suspense, and a good reveal. Blackie's called in to investigate a robbery when a friend of Mary's, Sally, is involved. Seems Sally's boyfriend is accused of being inside man on the robbery, and now he's lying beaten in a hospital. Meanwhile, two scary thugs are lurking in the background, beating up people. Aside from the packed plot, the entry's notable for presence of Lee Van Cleef as one of the thugs. It's still early in his career, but already he registers with his distinctive looks. Some good views of LA streets, along with Blackie's torpedo car that gets to whiz around. Anyway, Mary's lovely, Sally's poignant, and Whitey's a good tag-along. A solid entry in the series.
