Pure Trash TV...but entertaining in a sick way
Polonius8521 April 2010
The premise of this show is that a group of girls with emotional and personality disorders thrown together with little moderation will somehow moderate themselves. HA! Notice, however, that all the girls here are gorgeous, seem to be coming from privileged backgrounds, and are promiscuous beyond imagination (yes, a few cast members allegedly even entered the porn industry after the show). These girls cover just about the entire spectrum of personality disorders and mood disorders in the DSM-IV. This show allows for the narcissists to grab the spotlight, the antisocial girls to have a whole menu of people to manipulate, sabotage, and exploit, and an environment for bipolar girls to go absolutely out of control. There is absolutely nothing therapeutic about this show. It encourages the worst behavior of our society.

That said, if you ever want to feel better about yourself, watch this show.

Trashy

This show isn't even empowering to women. It just shows how trashy these ladies are. All of them cuss like sailors. You can't get one sentence out of them without hearing the F word. Also many of these girls are very violent. If they weren't on television they would probably be in jail. I haven't done research on any of the girls but I would not be surprised if they don't have histories of assault and battery charges, or even indecent exposure in public charges. There was one episode I watched where the girl was in a club and she was waving her vagina around and her tampon string was hanging out. Some might find that funny, but that is just disgusting, and shows that girl has no class. I've watched about 5 episodes so far just to see the plot and there is none. There is a line they like to throw around which is something along the lines of 'don't let things get under your skin'. Um by cussing and throwing punches it shows that the comments are getting under your skin. So pretty much I've come to the conclusion it's a show about hypocrisy, violence, drugs, and being sluts. This show is not fit for teens to watch. I would not even want my own mother to know I watched this show and I'm 23, that is how bad this show is.

What's so "bad" about it?
numbmannequin6 October 2010
How can a show carry on for this long? It's the same thing every episode: Get drunk, fight, have sex, talk crap about everyone, repeat. I feel like I'm watching people with the mindset and hormones of a high schooler with the brains of a 6 year old. So at current we have Kristen and Leah, the self appointed head honchos of the house, who walk around with their noses turned up at everything and everyone. Really? Who exactly do they think they're better than? Kristen is a ditsy blonde who lives off of mommy's money. Now THAT'S bad. And ironically Leah, who talked so much crap about how Kayleigh was a follower, has in turn become Kristen's little puppet. And sorry, but if you're working that hard to prove that you aren't a lesbian, obviously you are. I guess making out with everyone in the house and having a 3some in the shower was someone else. If they really don't care about the other girls and think that everyone is so trashy and beneath them, why do they spend all of their time talking about them and bothering to take the time and effort to constantly harass them? Obviously they feel threatened and are extremely insecure if they need to do that to keep themselves feeling worthy and self important. I'm sorry but how does being considered "bad" constitute people who back-stab, are selfish, immature, arrogant, egotistical, self righteous, drunk, ignorant promiscuous children, who think that the answer to life's problems are getting wasted and physically attacking anyone who doesn't do what they like or want? In the sense of the word when parents scold their children for being bad, I can definitely say that yes, they are bad. Like misbehaving little children, who throw tantrums when things don't go their way. Once they get back into the real world without the security and false comforts of a huge mansion and cameras on them, they're going to quickly realize they don't "run" anything. And when you verbally assault, spit on, or vandalize people's belongings, you go to jail. Wake up.

shame for ladies
elenwo247 October 2012
Well I am new to the American TV shows and I was really shocked as I saw what kind of crab they show. What's so interesting to see ignorant ladies who define them by their looks and by who is the biggest drinker and curse most? They have no goals in their life, except maybe to blow up their boobs more and to bleach their hair and that's it....It's very poor and if I would watch stuff like this every day, I am sure I would get dumber every day. They are really great role models. This show is just another senseless mistake of the media and for those people who are graving for scandals, cause their life might be so boring, that their only entertainment is those kinda shows

Can see how that fashion and ideas like sexual orientation et Racism have changed from 2004 to 2016 i guess . Enjoy it is on prime channel HAYU.

Tasteless And Without Merit
atlasmb20 March 2016
The description of this show says that it is "an experiment" in moderating the behavior of young women (who have anti-social tendencies). Now, fifteen seasons into this experiment, I am "lucky" to have encountered this phenomenon. It does not take much watching to realize they gave up on the experimental behavior modification a long time ago.

Its most current incarnation involves four sets of sisters, all from the east coast. You might wonder why anyone would want to be on a show that brands her "bad"? It must be money or notoriety. It can't be a burning desire to produce quality television.

"Bad Girls Club" caters to the lowest levels of taste. Over the years we have seen other shows that traffic in this tripe, and BGC incorporates the worst of all of them. Imagine the violent and tasteless parts of "Real World", the classless posings of any "Real Wives" show, the sensationalistic catfights of "The Jerry Springer Show". Healthy doses of unhealthy binge drinking fuel the action.

In fact, these young women have been raised on TV shows that celebrate the cult of infamous behavior. They have seen Omarosa and any number of other women who have sold their personal sex tapes or carefully honed a made-for-TV bad-girl personality and reaped the admiration of so-called fans. Celebrity seems to be reward in itself, regardless of how low one is willing to go to be controversial. In the process, certain behaviors have been promoted.

Now it only takes one (perhaps innocent) ill-chosen word to trigger tirades of PC militarism or physical violence because of "disrespect". They parade with pride their willingness to do battle. "Respect" doesn't mean what it used to. These women can rightfully claim no dishonor of their respect, because they disrespect themselves. Still, they pretend to be offended if anyone crosses lines of behavior or says words they find inflammatory. Apparently no one has ever told them that violence should be a last resort. By being so sensitive to every imagined slight, they reveal themselves to be weak, not strong.

Certainly some of the action is staged. Regardless, what value does this show have? There are so many good shows on TV now that watching this drivel is a crime against taste.

The trashiest TV you'll ever find, but also the most entertaining.
Dijionayy19 September 2020
The basic format of this show is that a bunch of violent and extremely violent women "Bad girls Club" all live together in one house. They get drunk, they party, gossip, and of course, fight. The fights are probably the most entraining part of the series. I wish it could keep going! This show kept me alive, honestly.

R.E:Great Reality T.V Show!
laslowhite30 November 2007
Warning: Spoilers
I watched the first season of The Bad Girls Club earlier this year and i really enjoyed it.

SPOILERS AHEAD The basic concept of the bad girls club as a reality television show was to put seven bad girls together in a house which they must live together for three months and preferably reform themselves or concentrate on positive goals in their lives.Out of the seven original bad girls only three make it to the end of the 22 part show and there are three replacements too! There are many arguments, cat fights, back stabbing and bitchiness between the young women all coming from different professions such as:Singing,Stripping and Modelling.

My favourite Bad Girl of the series has to be Ripsi who sadly only makes it through three episodes of the show. She is a complex house guest and is part of many acts of violence and binge drinking before she is asked to leave the house (Ripsi's conclusion unfolds in the reunion show and also on the final episode of Bad Girls Road Trip) One of the house rules is that you must not start fights and be violent. I also liked the bad girls Leslie and Aimee but all the girls had qualities about them i liked and disliked.

The show is followed by a spin off called Bad Girls Road Trip featuring Leslie,Zara and Aimee and i am so looking forward to season 2 which is due to start in December!!!

complete trash from start to finish
kimba1178-125 April 2014
Even the commercials show how low our country has sunk when this trash is watched by anyone. This is not progress people. This is sick, ignorant, uneducated people doing anything to get on television. No effort to improve themselves and zero self respect. The scariest part is that they're breeding. It's no wonder the rest of the world is losing all respect for the U.S. Please do anything to make these shows go away. They are horrible for your children to watch. Don't you care at all about your kids? Maybe your mothers didn't either? I'm sincerely sorry for anyone who could watch this and like it. Our lives will improve without these shows. Is that 10 lines? Anything else I may have to say about these "stars" includes the word pigs.

Very funny show
Mattswife971 July 2007
This has got to be the funniest shows. I've only seen one(the most recent one with ripsi)season of it. I don't know if there were more than one or not, but I laughed really hard. It's always fun watching cat fights between show. It was like watching the Jerry Springer show. There was always a fight and people badmouthing each other. But hey, that's what people do on and off the camera, except they got paid for it. The road trip isn't nearly as funny as the last season's bad girl's club, but it has it's moments. I do have to agree, Jodie does have a manly looking face and she seems like a tramp. I love how aimee tells it as it is. And Zarah....ROFL ROFL ROFL. Well, we can all write a book about our bad little girl. I can't wait till the road trip is over and they get back to the house part of the show. I know I won't be missing any episodes, thanks to tivo.

Bad Girls are Entertaining and Fun
catfanatic8882 July 2021
I haven't seen every season but the ones I have seen are fun and entertaining. Is this rocket science or educational? Obviously no... However if you enjoy reality tv where there's a lot of drama and excitement, this might be for you.

Vapid women living vapid lives.
jamop29 December 2014
Do you know that show where all those "classy" ladies fight over the most trivial things? You do? Well then you know this show. Things normal human beings consider problems have no place in this show. Nope. It's all forced drama, and when your problems are intentionally created, they will always come off as trivial and idiotic. But hey, how can you have a show like this without such things? I guess that's the point so yeah, ya got me.

Relationships that bounce around faster than bullets in a rubber room, constant barking at each other, and insincerity, lots of it.

But the saddest thing about this show is that it's been done many times before, and will most likely be done a hundred times more. So it doesn't even have originality going for it.

With so many shows today, that grace us with in depth story telling and character development, I cannot possibly recommend this. It's what I like to call "glamor trash". Nothing thought provoking at all. It's just an excuse to be loud and angry.

All in all, if you are entertained by women with contrived issues, who pull and tug at each other, and drop curses every other word, then it's just what you've been looking for.

Its entertaining and funny
troublethedog28 February 2021
All the people who gave this a low rating are too sensitive to watch reality tv like this, if you don't like drama and fights, then why are you watching a show that's all about that? makes no sense. Anyways this show is basically a bunch of girls tossed in a house and then of course drama starts. This show probably has more physical fights then any other reality show. Which can turn out satisfying when someone who starts things gets what they deserve, due to many of the women on this show being very obnoxious. This show isn't for everyone but if you enjoy drama and fights then this is perfect for you, if you don't, then don't watch it.

True Ladies
cwbellor29 December 2011
Let's tell it like it is. Society wants to keep women down. Society has created the cruel illusion that women are only worth as much as they achieve in life whether it be as a pediatrician or a stay-at-home mother. Society, in its perpetual ignorance wants to relegate women to occupations such as retail, teaching, athletics, accounting, dentistry, engineering, the arts, and numerous other sub par career choices. And millions of modern day women are foolish enough to think that these menial jobs lead to fulfilling lives. But how many feminine dentists can spend the late night hours clubbing, dancing, exposing her underwear, making out with men AND women and do it all while drunk and in heels? Perhaps you would counter with, "Any woman could do that." Perhaps, but how many women can do it with as much class and finesse as those in the Bad Girls Club. And don't forget that a wild night like that mentioned above is not always simply a night of passion and fun. All too often, it can lead to a potentially violent encounter with a classLESS, uninhibited she-tramp ill-equipped to contend with the likes of a bad girl. Again, we have a situation to which society collectively says, "Be a 'lady.'" But in the face of adversity and archaic notions of decency, the Bad Girl says, "Oh HELL NAW!" To those ladies who would think themselves so high and mighty as not to succumb to supposedly unbecoming behavior, I ask you, if another female wants to step up and act a fool or put you on blast when she doesn't even know you, is it not only befitting of a lady to put said bitch in her place?

My Favorite Show!
kookie059 January 2007
I love this reality show!!! It's one of my FAVORITES!!! The characters on the show are sooooo relatable!

"LeLe"--seems like somebody I went to high school with. "Ripsi" and "Zarra"--just some cool peeps! And the other one with the jet black hair (forgot her name)...I just like her style and attitude about things! Oh! and the quiet one who's a country artist...**giggles**...I can tell that even though she's quiet, she's going to help add more spice to the show. And how can I forget about Jodie? Oh my! What a character she's going to continue to make!

GREAT SHOW!!!

Bad Girls, Break Boundaries, Expose The Truth
cooperrox20068 June 2014
Warning: Spoilers
Regardless of when reality TV started, The Bad Girl's Club is what reality TV is today. What began as an inside look into the lives of others, is now an overtly sexual, violent, outrageous and uncomfortable view into what the most vain have to offer it's similar audience. The show about 7 girls forced to live in a house and change their lives as they deal with the consequences of being a self proclaimed Bad Girl. Season 2 which is the most popular and well received season closest to the original concept; is an example of all the components necessary for a TV show like this. The show as it progresses from season to season, is a direct reflection of it's audience and the cast members desire for fame, paired with the producers desire for good television, and ultimately, a job. The Bad Girl's Club can deliver drama with your choice of outcome. Ultimately the Bad Girl's Club will never be forgotten for what it is, and what it has delivered, the category of Reality TV has been elevated because of this show.

Definitely a show that won't be forgotten.
bryc_phillips11 July 2020
Warning: Spoilers
I've watched every episode of the 17 seasons. Earlier seasons(1-9) are seemingly fan favorites & a lot of the fans are severely loyal. However a lot of people despise the program as well. I love the psychological aspect to the show, the show definitely captured numerous intense & raw moments throughout its run. There's also some stuff that is difficult to watch especially in later seasons. This show has: drama, drinking, dancing, fights, deep moments, scary moments, bullying, breakdowns, sex & sooo much more. Certain seasons the producers were awful to their cast. BGC15 had two sisters walk in handcuffed & get verbally and physically attacked by some of the cast. The two victims called the ghost twins filed a lawsuit against Bunim Murray productions, which by the way also produces several other reality shows including Real World & Keeping up with the Kardashians. BGC5 Morgan was set up by production. Production told cast members to pack her belongings & kick her out of the Bad Girls Club mansion. Personally I loved this series. It's much deeper than the fights. One bad girl revealed having a miscarriage, 2 cast members in BGC16 revealed having been raped, also one woman shared her struggles with bulimia and unfortunately relapsed on camera. I hope it makes a return to television. However it's definitely not a show for everyone.

In the Looking Glass
killbasa28 September 2011
Warning: Spoilers
This has to be one of the most outrageous and shocking efforts at reality TV to date. True exploitation at it's finest. But I would ask, what does it exploit? All it does is simply show the evolution of the human condition. Why are so many offended when these producers hold up a mirror to the public? When we see the aspects of vein pretension and material worship that has permeated so deeply into our society, are we seeing just how horribly ugly many of us have become? Is this social experiment deemed offensive because it openly displays the same attitudes that many normally keep hidden and suppressed? In our increasingly dysfunctional society, it is acceptable to think horrible things and exercise bad behaviors in a passive manner, but if these characters openly display such thoughts and behaviors, only they are somehow "bad"? Truth hurts, and for some, this one hurts pretty bad.

On my end I simply see a petri dish. Introduce a culture and see what grows. Compare this one to Roman gladiators. Find some extreme examples of socially dysfunctional behavior, of which an endless supply exists, and see their reactions as they basically confront themselves. Will they see and realize their own condition and behavior when they are horribly offended by it in others? If placed into the lap of leisure and luxury, is it appreciated? Or is merely the entitlement they believe they somehow deserve? Is the tendency we see to turn paradise into a living hell a unique example, or does it merely serve as an example of who we have become as a culture? With these young women being confronted by like individuals everywhere they go, I contend the latter is the case. For me, this show is some of the best entertainment available. I have been watching our society develop for a very long time. I may be helpless as an individual watching the social suicide we are committing, but I sure am entertained watching the results. This series is a total scream! Too bad so many of these young women had not taken it as an opportunity to better themselves. In the end, they'll never be able to say that nobody ever gave them the chance.

I really like this show so far?
amethystblck16 January 2007
When I first saw this show I thought it was going to be boring, but as I had went on watching it was getting better. I really wish Ripsi didn't have to go but the other girls seem like they can get some drama started to. I can't wait until the real excitement gets on I just watched the last show where Zara is all in love with Tomick and he is so into Aimee. Don't get me wrong I love Aimee and Zara pretty cool but I thought that was wrong, how she received his e-mail and didn't even show Zara what kind of freak he really is she instead just laughed about. I can not wait to see what else comes up next. Oh wait and before I forget did Ty in the show that aired 1\16\07 say she was or liked females, but didn't feel she had to wear a rainbow bracelet.
