Popeye and Olive are out for a nice drive in the country but our favorite Sailor Man is running out of gas."We're in luck," says Olive, "There's a garage."
Some luck: it's Brutus' Garage, a little shack with signs plastered all over it, such as "Cars Washed - Grime Don't Pay."
Brutus peeks out and says, "Ahh, a sucker....I mean, a customer." He then pulls his own truck in back of Popeye's car and puts two gallons of gas in his tank for every one dollar in Popeye's and charges the full price, of course, to Popeye. To add insult to injury, he flirts with Olive. He then squirts Popeye with oil and while Popeye goes to clean up, Brutus tells Olive his real ambition: to become a songwriter, not a grease-monkey
Brutus was a brute, but he was a funny guy. I laughed at some of his new song titles, such as "I Saw Your Vision In A Three-Car Collision" and "You Be My Hubcap, And I'll Be Your Wheel!"
Believe-it-or-not, Olive is swooning, hearing these romantic titles!
Anyway, the crook sabotages Popeye's car and they drive away headed for "Suicide Hill." How will Popeye survive? Will justice take place regarding this maniacal mechanic? Check it out on Popeye's 75th Anniversary Celebration Collector's Edition DVD.
