beautiful moving shocking
the music is wonderful. i got chills several times during the viewing. michael j. lloyd did an amazing job on the sound track. as for the topic of forbidden love in the middle east, i was moved. i've been told that the basis of this story is true and that people in the region really do deal with this topic as portrayed in this film. what a shame. danielle pollack and cameron van hoy were good in their respective roles. martin landau of course is a master and as such it goes without saying his content was flawless. did you know that the legendary tony curtis is in this flick?! that is worth the price of admission alone.lastly, i have never seen such a strong reaction to an ending as i did in this film. wow.

David and Fatima- Stunning! A Must-See!

David and Fatima is an important film that touches on the topic of racial hatred in the middle East and keeps the viewer in close connection with the characters, the human condition, and the human spirit. . .

Cameron Van Hoy delivers an awesome, stunning performance unlike anyone I've seen in a long time, for a young man of his stature.

Everyone else did a superb job in making the film a success.

As an independent feature film, I found it to be very powerful, emotional, stunning, and overall it moved me. I haven't seen a film have that kind of effect on me in years!

David & Fatima definitely worth seeing

I tend to agree with comments written here. Although this movie has been made in other ways; including West Side Story, the backdrop of Jerusalem and the realistic quality of combining the tensions of the city and the differences between Jew and Muslim, make the film compelling.

The two lovers (David & Fatima) are an attractive couple and although knowing the story and therefore the outcome, I found myself rooting for the two of them thinking that maybe the storyline would offer a twist that would surprise me.

The music was terrific too and being something of a film score buff, I intend not only to try to locate the soundtrack, but will definitely buy the DVD once it becomes available.

Highly recommend!!!!!!

Worth seeing and discussing

At first, one assumes it's another trite version of the Montague/Capulet saga;yet it immediately assumes a realistic event because the story could be 100% true when one considers the Arab-Jewish relationship that currently exists in that small country. The excellent actors are largely not known(except for the terrific cameos portrayed by Martin Landau and Tony Curtis),and though by and large American, are able to portray credible Palestinians and Israelis of modern times. The young actors playing the star crossed couple are a beautiful pair. This motion picture is well worth seeing albeit a bit intense for the under thirteens.
