He was reportedly suffering from breathing problems. Even though he was majorly known for his Marathi films, he had contributed almost equally in Bollywood as well. Films like Chandni Bar, Ek Chalis Ki Last Local, Rajneeti etc... stand testimony to the same. Talking about him, his wife Vayjanti said that he was recuperating at home post his discharge from hospital last month. But when he complained of breathlessness on Friday night, they got him admitted in the hospital immediately. After that, in the morning hours, his blood pressure dipped and by evening 6pm, he breathed his last.

Sanjay Khanduri who gave us Ek Chalis Ki Last Local returns to the screens with another tale that spans over only one night. Kismet Love Paisa Dilli also is a story of two strangers whose paths cross when they miss the same last local on a night in Delhi. Unfortunately for Sanjay and the audience, Klpd is neither as sophisticated, thrilling nor as comical as Ek Chalis was.
Lokesh (Vivek Oberoi) and Lovina (Mallika Sherawat) bump into each other on the streets of Delhi when they both miss the same last local. Lokesh is already in a lot of trouble much before him meeting Lovina and how it all progresses to an end all in one night is what Klpd is all about.
One truly doesn’t know why Mr Khanduri felt the need to pack an otherwise okay thriller with crass, insensitive and plain gross jokes. They do nothing...

Almost eleven years back in the summer of Mumbai, me and a couple of friends meandered through a few shabby lanes in search for a ‘home’. We were all new to ‘Bombay’, graduates from ‘Calcutta’ looking for something in our lives. I did manage to scrape through to Pune, months later, which in those days used to remain a bit laid-back as compared to Bombay and more to my liking. But Bombay didn’t spare me. My girlfriend then was in Bombay and so I visited the city alternate weeks – from Vile Parle to Dadar, from Cst to Santa Cruz, to my friends in Borivli and my cousin at Anushaktinagar. Why so much of a personal gibberish? Cause the film which re-winded my memories is indeed personal – for me, and for many migrants like me who wanted to cope with her – Mumbai to all and Bombay to few including me.
