- Robin Hood is back stealing from the rich, until he is tricked by a woman who turns out to be the Sheriff's sister and one of his men turns against him.
- Sisterhood: A return to Sherwood sees the outlaws constructing a new camp. But the Sheriff has plans of his own as Knighton Hall is razed to the ground and Marian and Edward are arrested.
Robin's gang ambush a group traveling through the forest, including a striking blond woman in black leather. The gang demands a tenth of their money. The travelers fight back, chasing Robin's gang away, but the gang escape by disappear into their new hideout, built by Will. In the loot taken from the travelers, Allan and Robin discover the woman's ring has the Sheriff of Nottingham's insignia.
Marian returns to her home, dressed as the Night Watchman. Robin is waiting for her in her room, and asks her to join his gang. She refuses, not wanting to abandon her father. Guy of Gisborne barges in downstairs, demanding that Marian and her father, Sir Edward, come to the castle. Displeased with Marian's resistance, Gisborne sets fire to the house and takes Marian and her father to Nottingham castle and placed under house arrest by the Sheriff.
Robin, Much and Allan stake out the castle to determine why there are so many strange visitors arriving. Dissatisfied with not being able to keep any of the money they take, Allan goes off to the tavern to scam money with ball and cups games, and is captured by Gisbourne.
Robin tries to help a woman named Rose tied to a post. She says that she is being punished in place of her children who tried to steal food from the castle kitchen, and she has to stay or her children will suffer. Robin gives her money and promises to bring food later.
In the center of Nottingham, the Sheriff threatens to chop off a hand from each of Rose's children as punishment for stealing. Robin appears to put a stop to it, but it is really a trap to lure Robin. Rose turns out to be the blonde woman that he robbed earlier, and is the sheriff's sister.
Inside the main hall of the castle, the Sheriff, his sister, Gisborne, and several visitors in dark robes assemble. The Sheriff discusses a plot to kill King Richard when he returns from the holy land. For entertainment, the sheriff dangles Robin from a contraption that slowly lowers him towards a pit of snakes. Marian, disguised as the Night Watchman, creates a distraction, leaving Robin alone in the hall with the sheriff's sister, Davina. Robin frees himself from the contraption, but in a struggle with Davina, she falls into the snake pit and is fatally bitten. The Sheriff rushes in to his dying sister, and Robin threatens to kill him. Davina tells Robin about a promise from Prince John that if anything happens to the sheriff, the Prince will destroy Nottingham.
In the dungeons, Gisborne makes the imprisoned Allan an offer: freedom and money in exchange for information on Robin's activities. Allan returns to the gang's camp with a concealed purse of money.
