Cary Deuber and her husband Mark Deuber had already cleared up rumors about the beginnings of their marriage in the Real Housewives of Dallas season 1 reunion, denying allegations that they began seeing each another while Mark was still married to another woman.
But on Monday’s conclusion to the season 2 reunion, the couple once again had to defend their marriage — this time from allegations thrown out by Brandi Redmond, who claimed Cary and Mark’s relationship began as a workplace affair while she was both his surgical assistant and the nanny to his children.

Warning: Spoiler alert! Do not proceed if you haven't watched Thursday's episode of Scandal.
Fitz and Olivia together again -- finally!
Love was in the air on Thursday's episode of Scandal, and it was hot, hot, hot!
We had not one, not two, but three love connections. Here's what you need to know:

Cyrus and Fenton
This is one we did not see coming, but I guess that $100 million Cezanne painting Fenton graciously gifted Cyrus was more than just an apology. Cyrus showed up at Fenton's doorstep insisting that he couldn't accept the gift (because technically it's against the law for politicians to accept bribes -- who knew?!), but ended up staying for a little virtual reality fun... and a sensual request.

We're less than one year until Marvel's Avengers: Infinity War slams into theaters everywhere -- seriously, are there any theaters on the planet that won't be showing this movie? Marvel is still closely guarding the plot details, but we certainly know that it will involve Thanos (Josh Brolin), the Infinity Gems, and Spider-Man...look, I know you know this, but not everyone's a comic nerd like us, Ok? Rumor has it that a trailer will debut with Thor: Ragnarok, but that's a long ways off.
We do know that this is a massive film with upwards of 60 Marvel characters appearing; including at least one scene containing 32 characters alone. I know this is true because there's a link to that very article right below -- it's a good article, you should read it!

Image Source: Getty / Christopher Polk Dear Beyoncé, Hey queen. I've actually been wanting to write this for a while now, but I just couldn't find the right words. No matter how hard I tried to gather my feelings and string sentences together, nothing seemed to properly convey what I wanted to say, and so many others seemed to be expressing it better than I could. But I'm ready now. I'm not sure if it was your epic maternity shoot or Grammys loss that finally inspired me, but I'm ready to tell you how proud I am of you for fighting the good fight and using your platform to raise up those of us who are continually made to feel as if we are "less than." To say that you make me feel proud to be a black woman is an understatement. You create music that empowers me and art that emboldens me.

The movie, co-written by DeLonge and Ben Kull, centers on a rebellious group of San Diego skateboarders, who take it upon themselves to investigate extreme paranormal activity around town, only to embark on an adventure that they could have never imagined.
“I grew up in Southern California as a disaffected young skateboarder who broke the occasional law or five, and I was always dreaming about the world around me, obsessively looking for the more unusual and imaginative experiences that life has to offer,” the former Blink singer and guitarist told THR. “That’s the inspiration behind ‘Strange Times,’ which is about the tribe of broken youth and the restless spirit that inspired me to form Blink-182 and seek out adventure.”

A college football player had become obsessed with his cheerleader ex-girlfriend, stalking her for weeks before he murdered her in her home in November, authorities allege in a new indictment.
William Riley Gaul, 18, was indicted Wednesday in Knox County, Tennessee, on charges of first-degree murder, especially aggravated stalking, tampering with evidence and employing a firearm during a dangerous felony.
Investigators claim that early on Nov. 21, he fatally shot 16-year-old Emma Walker through a wall in her family’s home in Knoxville, Tennessee, while she slept.
Gaul was upset that Walker had recently broken up with him, Walker’s family claimed.

“Is it too late now to say sorry?” Justin Bieber has been pleading for the past couple weeks, from what seems like every other passing car’s speakers. Sure, “Sorry,” the buoyant and ubiquitous Skrillex-produced single, is, on its surface, an appeal to an ex-flame (Selenerrrr?), but it also conveniently doubles as an apology to the whole entire world. The song is the inevitable grand finale to the public-penance-slash-promotional-tour Bieber’s been on for the better part of a year, which has included a calmly endured Comedy Central Roast, not one but two apologies on Ellen, and a jarringly earnest, meme-generating cry at the VMAs. “I know you know that I made those mistakes maybe once or twice,” he sings on “Sorry” with a coy humility, “And by once or twice I mean maybe a couple of hundred times.” A refreshingly candid lyric for the previously squeaky-clean Bieber, it’s...

Kicking off with the Sorcerer Supreme, the studio promised that the movie would “push the boundaries” of their cinematic universe and teased that we would see “girls, cars, explosions and astral projection.” Since filming doesn’t get underway until November, no footage was shown. Instead, the audience got a bit of early concept art, which apparently featured the following:

"So I know you know my boyfriend cheated on me," she told the crowd during her Piece of Me show in Las Vegas, People confirms. "But the best thing about being cheated on is I get to go on more first dates." Then, according to MTV, she said, "I need a hot guy. Where are the hot guys here tonight?" Spears, 32, has been in good spirits since becoming single. A source told People...

Audley Harrison has attempted to explain why he nominated fellow Celebrity Big Brother housemate Kellie Maloney.
Big Brother sprang surprise face-to-face nominations on the housemates last night following David McIntosh's eviction.
The former boxing champion nominated Kellie, explaining that he thought she should be evicted as the world is not ready for her, and admitting that he sometimes feels uncomfortable around her due to having previously known her prior to her gender transition. Upset with his admission, Kellie refused to hear what Audley had to say.
Audley was later given a warning about his nomination reasons, prompting him to claim that he needed time to accept Kellie for who she is.
"I think anyone would be crazy to suggest that you just switch and make the adjustment, it's going to take time," he said.
This morning (August 28), Audley addressed the situation, apologising for upsetting Kellie with his nomination reasons.

Dr. Mehmet Oz testified before the Senate Commerce, Science and Transportation Committee and Senator Claire McCaskill on Tuesday, June 17, in a hearing on the false claims made in weight-loss advertising campaigns.
Senator McCaskill instigated the hearing and grilled Dr. Oz on his show, The Dr. Oz Show, on which he often mentions weight-loss pills or supplements.
“McCaskill’s hearing follows recent enforcement actions against companies engaged in deceptive advertising of weight-loss products. Last month the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) announced that it is suing the Florida-based company, Pure Green Coffee, alleging that it capitalized on the green coffee bean diet fad by using bogus weight-loss claims and fake news websites to market its dietary supplement. The FTC claimed that weeks after green coffee was promoted on the Dr. Oz Show, Pure Green Coffee began selling their Pure Green Coffee extract, charging $50 for a one-month supply," reads a press release from Senator McCaskill.

Lee Pace doesn't do many projects that generate ambivalence. After making his small screen bones in the Bryan Fuller-created "Wonderfalls" and "Pushing Daisies" and having his earliest big screen exposure in Tarsem Singh's polarizingly unique "The Fall," Pace has been on an absurd franchise streak of late. He checked "Twilight" off the list as Garrett in the second part of "Breaking Dawn." His Thranduil has had an increasingly large presence through the last two "Hobbit" films. And this summer, Pace will enter the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Ronan the Accuser in "Guardians of the Galaxy." It's unclear how many Lee Paces exist, because amidst these major franchise films, Pace also found the time for his return to regular series television. On the new AMC drama "Halt and Catch Fire," Pace plays Joe MacMillan, a former Ibm wunderkind who recruits Scoot McNairy's Gordon Clark to work with him...

When I was a little kid, the original The Fly scared the crap out of me. Then, later, when I wrote the Star Trek and Justice League franchises in comics, I felt a morbid and uneasy fascination with the transporter idea, which I’d always thought had a greater potential for disaster than deliverance. But I never did much with it, because my early Vincent Price-induced trauma left me with zero interest in writing about steaming piles of misshapen, dying flesh. So I never thought I’d see the day when I’d write these words:
We need teleportation. Badly. And we need it now.
Why am I bending your digital ear with this?
Well, another day I never thought I’d see is the one when the number of Americans who self-identify as Geeks would outnumber Americans who give a flying rat’s ass about what happens to the Us Postal Service.

When Breaking Bad left us before the midseason break, the question wasn’t whether Walt would realize that brother-in-law/DEA officer Hank was onto him, but when that would happen. And then, the logical follow-up: Would TVLine reimburse me for my season-long Valium prescription? Because I would certainly need it if the back half of the season were as teeth-grittingly tense as the first half.
But the AMC drama’s midseason premiere surprised me by wasting no time and dealing with its biggest dangling plot point straightaway – not to mention letting us in on whether or not Walt’s cancer is back.

Dear Ryan Reynolds,
Hi. How are things? I'm guessing, since you are a successful movie star who has made millions of dollars and is generally understood to be in the 99th percentile of attractive people in the world, that things are, overall, going well. Congratulations on everything, including last week's debuts of both "R.I.P.D." and "Turbo." On a larger scale — the scale of life, you might say — things are going swimmingly for you. (Scarlett Johansson And Blake Lively? What? Come on, dude. High five.) And that's great. It's important to keep perspective.
As a loyal fan of your work, however, I want to do my part to help you get out of this, um, "slump" you're in currently, career-wise.
If I may: It seems like you may not care as much as you once did.
To be clear, I don't mean "care" as in "You lack the passion for acting...

Don’t Torture A Duckling is one of the most intricately woven, original giallo films ever made, and definitely one of my favorite Italian giallo films of all time. Numerous interviews credit Don’t Torture A Duckling (1972) as Lucio Fulci’s personal favorite, and it firmly established him as a major talent in the suspense genre in Italy. Don’t Torture A Duckling never saw a theatrical release in North America in the 1970s, and the film wasn’t released on VHS until 1999 when it was released in both VHS and DVD format by Anchor Bay Entertainment. Even though the time of VHS had come and gone by 1999, Anchor Bay released the film on VHS to appease horror video fans like myself. Blue Underground released the same version of the film again in 2007, but only on DVD and Blu-Ray. Currently, you can buy Don’t Torture A Duckling on VHS...

Spoiler Alert! Don't read this interview unless you've seen "The Colonel," the Season 1 finale of FX's "The Americans."
Watching "The Americans" evolve over the course of the show's first season has been a gratifying process. It not only provided Keri Russell, who gave a brilliantly calibrated performance as Soviet spy Elizabeth Jennings, with an opportunity to blow away any preconceptions that might have lingered in the minds of fans of "Felicity," it also elicited a terrifically subtle performance from Matthew Rhys, who played her husband, Philip, with quiet intensity and a broodingly romantic air. And far from being an intellectual exercise in Soviet-u.S. gamesmanship, the show also provided an array of fight scenes, car chases and undercover identities that proved, once and for all, that Soviet wig technology of the '80s was far more advanced than anyone knew.
As if that wasn't enough, Noah Emmerich, Margo Martindale, Richard Thomas...

Previously on Pretty Little Liars, Caleb hacked into Maya's website page, and the Liars, sans Emily, sat around eating popcorn and Red Vines and watching Maya's personal videos like a couple of Garrett Reynoldses. Ezbian's magnificent mother wafted onto the scene, insulted Aria in every possible way, and offered her literal cash money to set their little chipmunk free. Toby made every face he could think of, and then skipped town to practice making more faces. Hanna petitioned the Wizengamot of Radley Institute not to send Mona to the Gotham Penitentiary. So shocked was she by her success that she smashed her face into Dr. Wren's face for some celebratory snogging. And Emily finally gave herself over to the dazzling cataclysm that is Paige McCullers.

It's appropriate that a documentary on Ai Weiwei should open the day the Olympics begin. The artist's troubles can be traced back to the Games four years ago, when Ai rose to international prominence for his work on the Bird's Nest stadium, and then to more dangerous heights when he promptly distanced himself from China's "false Olympic smiles."
Three years, one Sichuan Earthquake and an Arab Spring later, Ai's Big Troubles began. While he was under detention by the Chinese government for 81 days, "Never Sorry" director Alison Klayman became the go-to source for news on his situation, a position she credits to an old roommate and a bit of good timing in an interview with The Huffington Post.
While interest in the news bites surrounding his story has predictably waned since the initial fervor, Ai is still here, with the same, resounding message. This week, he reminded us once again...

It's rare to see a Britney Spears song performed "live" by the singer herself -- but last night, Kelly Clarkson gave it a try!Throughout her tour, the original "American Idol" champ has been playing covers of other people's songs during her shows -- and at Tuesday night's L.A. stop of her Stronger tour, she decided to cover Britney's "Till the World Ends.""I thought this would be a fun one you might enjoy," she said before singing. "I know you know this song, I'm expecting everybody on these Os!"She killed it, telling the crowd after "I love that song. I always get this bad taste in my mouth though when I hear Britney Spears because usually she's my cardio music and I frickin hate cardio! I frickin' hate the gym ... the gym can suck it!" During Kelly's L.A. show she also had a parade of special guests including Reba McEntire,...

I Know You Know
Stars: Robert Caryle, Arron Fuller, David Bradley | Written and Directed by Justin Kerrigan
The press release for I Know You Know describes the film as both a ‘touching coming of age movie’ and a ‘British father and son thriller’. From the cover art on the DVD, which depicts a furious Robert Carlyle brandishing a gun and newcomer Aaron Fuller running frantically, you might expect to find a ‘gritty’ action adventure inside. In truth, I Know You Know does not fit neatly into any genre in particular and carves its own niche.
In late 80s Cardiff, Charlie (Carlyle) and his son Jamie (Fuller) are on the run. Charlie is undercover, on a secret mission that revolves around the presumably nefarious activities of new satellite television company. Whilst Charlie goes about his top secret business, Jamie spends time at his Uncle Ernie’s house and enrols at a new school,...

Robert Carlyle stars in the long-awaited new film from Human Traffic director Justin Kerrigan. Mark checks out I Know You Know...
Nine years after writer-director Justin Kerrigan's award-winning feature debut, Human Traffic, he's returned with a much more gentle and personal effort in I Know You Know. Where Human Traffic brought the rave movement to the screen with electrifying realism, this instead focuses on a semi auto-biographical portrayal of the relationship between a father and a son, in tribute to Kerrigan's own late father.
Robert Carlyle plays Charlie Callaghan, on whom the film opens as he delivers a Travis Bickle-esque assurance to his bathroom mirror that he has everything under control. Specifically, he's on a dangerous mission against telecommunications company Astro-Sat on behalf of Her Majesty's secret service. However, he also has to look after his young son, Jamie, played by Arron Fuller.

I Am Love (15)
(Luca Guadagnino, 2009, It) Tilda Swinton, Pippo Delbono, Flavio Parenti. 119 mins
The result of a seven-year collaboration between its star and director, I Am Love is an extraordinary fusion of tradition and modernity that's a good deal more original than it might seem at first glance. Calling to mind (although not exclusively modelled on) Luchino Visconti's 1963 Italian classic The Leopard, with a dash of Barbara Stanwyck's immortal Stella Dallas for good measure, this is a powerful and stylish dynastic melodrama that works on many levels. On the surface, Luca Guadagnino's bold, aggressively contemporary direction attacks an age-old story from all angles, zooming, tracking and tilting as John Adams's affecting symphonic score booms. But at the centre of this storm, Swinton gives a superb, sympathetic performance as Emma, the Russian wife of a Milanese textile magnate, whose reckless affair with a working-class chef sends her privileged life into turmoil.

Robert Carlyle is terrific in a new film by Human Traffic's Justin Kerrigan, writes Xan Brooks
Cardiff-based Justin Kerrigan scored a home-grown hit with the ramshackle rave comedy Human Traffic in 1999 and then went awol – a casualty, it was rumoured, of the very lifestyle he celebrated on screen. A decade later, he has blown back from the wilderness with I Know You Know, a rites-of-passage drama that amounts to a tender, twisted valentine to his late father, Frankie. Robert Carlyle plays Charlie, a self-styled special operative who darts agitatedly between the pebbledashed estates of South Wales. His adolescent son Jamie (Arron Fuller) regards Charlie as a hero and this may well be the case. But Charlie is also jittery and unstable, a kind of Welsh cousin to Big Vern, the paranoid gangster from Viz magazine. His head buzzes with conspiracy theories; his finger itches on the trigger of his gun.
