Well played

The intrigue remains high. What's going to happen? So many story questions. Will so-n-so get together with so-n-so? Will the four (main) humans achieve eternal salvation? Will the point totals be straightened out for the rest of the humans? And will Michael get a job he'll like, now that he can't go back to being a demon?

But, even as I look forward to these answers, I'm starting to wonder if the writers have been working from the premise of an entirely different story question. One that's been in plain sight all along but we've overlooked. You know, something, along the lines of a The Sixth Sense level twist. We'd say, "Man! We should've seen that coming but we didn't." And with this twist all the previous story questions would become moot (or is it moat? Anyway ... ).

We'll be watching.

Warning: Spoilers
This episode is probably thebest I've seen in a while of the Good Place. The talk between Michael and Eleanor was perfectly written, and the acting was brilliant. Kristen Bell and Ted Danson were amazing.

She's having a real character progression considering who she was in the first season, even in season 3. More serious, selfless, gentle, willing to make sacrifices, admit her mistakes, and recognize that she's just like any other girl from Arizona. Eleanor is being humble, modest, gaining the qualities that a true member of the Good Place deserves. I can't tell if the others have the same virtues, it's unclear. The idea of putting Chidi and Simone together was great, because there's no need to discard good materail like that. Simone is a good character to storm into Eleanor and Chidi's relationship. Brent if a funny guy, and it's going to be interesting to see how he changes during the season. Currently, seems hard to see it.

On the other hand, was good to know that Michael faked his crisis in the end of season 3. The character did flake out back then, but on this episode he recovered.

Then, obviously the part with Jason and Janet, their sort of break up it's not so good as the rest. It's a weird relationship, created for comedy in many ways.

Warning: Spoilers
According to Rotten Tomatoes, the fourth season has a rating of 100%, based on 21 reviews, with an average rating of 8.33/10. Anyway, A Girl From Arizona ends with Eleanor wondering what could have been with Chidi, and I really hope they get together towards the end, but will they.
