~*-Go little Jenny!-*~
aura7723 June 2008
Warning: Spoilers
Bair is up for some more games, little Jenny shows more of her potential and she can still seem only innocent in doing so. Serena and Dan go on and off, with his ex-girlfriend, Vanessa in town. Nate is accused by his parents, of taking drugs, which in fact are his fathers. Chuck is being Chuck, like always, only this time... he is victimized by little Jenny. Boo hoo.

My favorite part of the episode was seeing Chuck's angry face after he was left alone and half-naked on the roof. Of course, Jenny's playing hot and cold with him, was fun also.

Vanessa isn't a character I like, so scenes with her seemed pretty annoying to me. She's the third wheel, no matter what. How can she come and hope for things to go back the way they were? Silly lovesick girl.

The Handmaiden's Tale (#1.6)

Warning: Spoilers
The ball was pretty good. I can't believe they couldn't recognize each other in masks though. Luckily Jenny did so with Chuck and made the funniest thing at the party. Blair isn't too nice but I hope she will really dump Nate. So not worth it, sad that they dated since kindergarden. She better find somebody else. I like Rufus and Lily even more than Dan and Serena. I hope they end up together. That kiss and what he said to her at the end were just amazing.

The most beautiful costume party I never actually attended
eborrego30 November 2021
I just recently watched all six seasons of gossip girl on HBO Max. I liked every episode but this episode in particular was visually breathtaking. Taylor Momsen looked amazing in her dress and mask. So did leighton meester. I continually rewatch the episode just for the aesthetic appeal. And who am I? That's a secret I'll never tell. XOXO.

Jessica Szohr Makes Her Debut!
callanvass17 April 2015
Warning: Spoilers
Dan's world is turned upside down when his childhood friend, Vanessa, returns home unannounced and reveals that she's in love with him. Dan is still bitter over the fact that Vanessa broke his heart and left. Serena invites Dan to the infamous masked ball, but gets discouraged when she hears another woman's (Vanessa) voice in the room. She decides to invite somebody else instead. Blair makes it abundantly clear that Jenny is not to attend the Masked Ball. After getting advice from Vanessa, they both decide to attend the ball in disguise. Blair wants to start over with Nate, but Nate still has feelings for Serena. Things get chaotic when Dan attends the ball in disguise. Meanwhile, Lilly invites Rufus to a party of Blair's Mother to make somebody jealous.

This episode started off slowly, but ended up being a really memorable episode. Vanessa is annoying at first, but she really grows on you. Her bubbly personality is a lot of fun. I enjoyed the love triangle storyline in this one. It made things really intense and emotional. For the first time, I actually thought Dan was a jerk. I completely understood his struggle and what he was going through, but the way he went about it was all wrong. Lying makes things worse! Watching Dan get caught up in a web of lies was a bit heart wrenching to watch. I'm still not fully sure how I feel about Nate. I don't mind him, but he just seems "there" a lot of the time. There are times I'm really into his plight, others where I'm indifferent. I love the way Jenny is evolving. She showed a completely different side in the previous episode, and that is enhanced here. Wait until you see what she does to Chuck! Revenge is sweet. Blair continues to annoy me with her self-absorbed personality. Lilly and Rufus don't have much screen time, but their storyline is really heating up, and I'm enjoying it. The ending is filled with some terrific drama. I love how Serena and Dan are progressing. I'm also anxious to see what they do with Vanessa. I felt Jessica Szohr did an awesome job.

The One With The Masquerade Ball...
taylorkingston14 June 2015
Warning: Spoilers
I really enjoy this episode. I like the aspect of a Masquerade Ball and I like how rude Blair is.

In this episode, there's a Masquerade Ball coming up and everyone's getting ready. Jenny really wishes she can go, but Blair forbids her. Jenny ends up going after some kind words from Serena. But this makes for an awkward evening when everyone thinks Jenny is Serena, and Nate professes his love for her. Meanwhile, Dan's childhood friend, Vanessa, returns to town and he has to chose between her and Serena.

Best part of the episode: The Masquerade Ball.

Worst part of the episode: The Dan stuff. Who cares, right?

Overall, I give this episode a 7 out of 10, which in my ratings book is: Great.
