Another hilarious show from Jo Koy...
paul_haakonsen14 June 2019
I thoroughly enjoy the stand-up comedy shows from Jo Koy, and I am glad to see that he still has his edge with this 2019 performance in "Jo Koy: Comin' in Hot".

If you aren't already familiar with the stand-up acts of Jo Koy from previous shows, then I can warmly recommend that you take the time to get familiar with his performances and watch the shows, because this guy is hilarious. Not only is he funny, but he also has a great on stage performance and he has some nice things to talk about in his shows.

I enjoy how he always includes his mother and the Filipinos in his stand-up shows. And when he brought in more Asian types in "Jo Koy: Comin' in Hot" it was just brilliant, and he nailed their mannerisms and ways of talking so well.

"Jo Koy: Comin' in Hot" was enjoyable from start to end, and is very enjoyable even if you are not already familiar with this stand-up comedian guy.

Watch it. Just watch it...

Jokoy keeps breaking onstage
clairevlim18 June 2019
Breaking is when a performer breaks character and in Jokoy's case he just kept laughing and giggling throughout jokes. Jokes were alright but would've been more impactful if (a) the crowd didn't just laugh blindly at everything, every word every phrase, even a lead-in when there's not even a pubchline and (b) it Jokoy's delivery was sharper, like Ali Wong...

Funny & Relatable Comedy

JoKoy does great in this special. I'm not a JoKoy fan, but if there's a new special on Netflix, I'm going to check it out. Jo talks alot about his family, his mother and father. He jokes about how they acted while he was growing up, like their mannerisms, customs, etc.. He touches on cultural differences, and him being a father. Overall the jokes connect, they're very funny, I found myself laughing out loud which I rarely do even if something is funny. Nothing ground breaking, very relatable comedy. It would be a good watch with friends around.

Funny as Hell, Jo Koy upped his Game
royhectorkabanlit16 June 2019
I saw at one of Jo Koy's older comedy specials a couple of months ago on Netflix and it didn't impress me. In fact, I just watched it a couple of minutes then stopped and didn't finish it.

I saw some of his new acts recently though and they were good, that's why I decided to watch his latest one, and I have to say that he definitely has upped his game, this special is very funny from start to finish.

Jo Koy makes fun of Hawaiian customs, Asian/Latin/Black stereotypes, his mom, Filipino customs, etc. and towards the end of his act, Sex Organs. Some people might find some of his material to be offensive, but I guess that is one reason that makes it so funny.

A Must Watch for me, one of the really funny Stand Up Comedy Specials on Netfllix.

Haters gonna Hate

I discovered jo koy during pandemic, that's where I discovered how great stand up comedy is. Up to now I follow him.

For those haters out there, we don't believe your hate and fake comments. The people have spoken we love jo koy and we can relate. Tell those comments to sold out arenas and Steven Spielberg liking this special.

This was the worst special he ever did

Covid jokes = cringe

Paid actors in the front for his joke. I like Jo koi but this was one of the worst stand ups ever. Laughed twice, force laughs and not even laughs maybe a chuckle. I wish I never seen the special because it made me think he lost it. Maybe all he had was making fun of his mom raising him and child. This will be the last time I watch one of his stand ups and I'm glad I didn't see his movie. Because if this shows where he is at in comedy then I rather move on and just remember the laughs I had from his previous specials. Thanks for trying but maybe you should get a writer now.

Great entertainment

I had some expectations, but in the end I enjoyed every moment. Regardless of some IMDB reviews he is a great comedian. I enjoyed adding to where others have never gone before.

*CRINGE*

Warning: Spoilers
This was the worst stand up I've seen from Jo. I literally left the room while my wife finished up.

When a comedian spends the bulk of his routine making fun of races and talking about his dick size, you know it's out of desperation and that's exactly what this seemed like to me. Desperate for material. He didn't have anymore jokes about his mom so he went for the lowest common denominators. Really disappointed.

Cheesy, Horribly Unfunny Hack
dmc10116 January 2020
This guy is all hat, no cattle. The audience seems artificially hyped to get the viewers interested. He never says anything funny. I couldn't watch the whole thing, what a mess.
