- Narrator: A constant problem faced by the Highway Patrol is in the enforcement of law in the more desolate, rural regions, where the occasional communities are not large enough to require the services of full-time peace officers. It was in such a section, on the morning of the 18th of August, that the Highway Patrol encountered one of its most cold-blooded cases of murder.
