Yes it was a short season, things felt rushed, and a few more episodes to wrap things up would have been nice. I remember watching it 13 years ago and being disappointed with how abruptly it wrapped up and how ridiculously convoluted it all seemed. Maybe its been the intervening 13 years worth of garbage that has flooded the airwaves, but it didn't seem as bad this time around. The one thing that never wavered was the characters and how their stories unfolded. I remember thinking once word got out the Cheyenne govt would collapse from within. However present day events make me wonder if most in society would happily trade all their freedoms for a govt that promised to take care of them. "Whoever would overthrow the liberty of a nation must begin by subduing the freeness of speech." Benjamin Franklin. And we're already well on the way. Could a Jericho really happen if govt gets too oppressive?

I must say this was a very short season. I just started watching the season, it was getting good then it is finished. How many episodes were there? Maybe 6 or 7? Decent season ending. The ending is predictable with the bomb going to Texas, with Green and Rawlins playing the heroes. The flat character of Beck sees the light, and a civil war has/may erupt in the next season. I wonder what is going to happen to the town of New Bern. A high budget ending to a excellently casted, directed and written show. 7 stars out of 10. Will they have enough material for season 3? A new script will take a lot of imagination. There will be a need for new characters and sub plots for a extra season. The protagonist Green and Rawlins characters are exhausted. I can wait for season 3.
