One of the Least Entertaining Musical Episodes
kgraovac2 December 2023
Kim and Craig enlist Lucy and Harry to play the parents in their school musical about the Generation Gap.

This is another musical episode but the numbers in this one are not very entertaining. The cast spoofs Roman times, the Gay Nineties, and the Space Age.

The first act takes place in a pizza parlor run by an Asian man. Craig apologizes for a racist remark. There is a gag where the owner keeps turning off the jukebox. Once again, we hear the instrumental "I Know a Place" track but here the show adds "Sunny" to its repertoire of stock music.

The Roman segment has some groan-inducing Caesar jokes and Harry (as Julius) is carried in by six sexy slave girls who wiggle their hips in unison. The Gay Nineties sequence is the best. The foursome sings revamped lyrics to "A Bicycle Built for Two". Lucy looks like Mrs. Olsen from LITTLE HOUSE ON THE PRARIE. Craig gives an amusing performance as the randy son. He even outshines Lucie in this one. The Space Age part has Kim and Craig in bright shiny pleather outfits while Lucy and Harry wear silver spacesuits. Lucy looks like Rosie the Robot. They do the "Moonwalk" but it is nothing like Michael Jackson's famous move. Here it's a slow-motion ballet.

This has to be one of the least entertaining musical episodes ever done on HERE'S LUCY.
