If this was any other show, this episode would be downright depressing. But it's MF CURB.

Warning: Spoilers
Cheryl splits with Larry, practically all his "friends" side with her and he is automatically uninvited from most get-togethers because everyone "picked Cheryl" over him. She also immediately hits the rebound and is on another guy. But Larry, perhaps as always avoiding confronting his sad emotions, seems to be rather unfazed and even laughs at himself in the episode. I genuinely felt super bad for him at times in this episode. Then I had to remember I was watching Curb-Your-F*****g Enthusiasm. Oh yeah, I choose Larry.

Taking sides

Warning: Spoilers
Sometimes a minor occurrence triggers a big problem, which is the center piece of this episode. One could have predicted Larry and Cheryl were headed for divorce. Larry, with his quirks could be irritating. The straw that brakes the camel's back happened when Cheryl, calling frantic from an airplane going through heavy turbulence, is dismissed by her husband who was more interested in having his TiVo repaired so it does not freeze anymore. This is it, Cheryl has had it!

A dejected Larry has to face the fact his circle of friends will now have to choose sides between him and Cheryl. To compound on his problems, even the restaurant he loves is taking his wife's side. To make matters worse, his friend Simon, who is throwing a big party at Maxwell's does not even want him there since he has taken Cheryl's side and he will not be welcomed.

Another fabulous chapter in the 2007 series. Written with his signature style, this was a funny one as it deals with some of Larry David's pet peeves and life's irritations which happens to all of us, but only Larry can turn those situations into comic essays that are so witty one can identify with him. The stories are so well written and acted by the impeccable ensemble players it is no wonder this series is the winner it is.
