Jay Baruchel is set to star in "Klutz," playing Johnny Klutz, the character he created. The story tells of a lovable loser who is apparently impervious to pain. Ben Stiller, Stuart Cornfield and Jeremy Kramer will produce via Red Hour. Thruline's Marc Hamou and Willie Mercer executive produce. Canadian Baruchel's career is flying at the moment after his big break with 2004's "Million Dollar Baby," where he showcased his drama talents, he moved on with roles in comedies like "Knocked Up," "Fanboys," "Tropic Thunder" and "Nick and Nora's Infinite Playlist." "Still Waiting..." DVD reviewby Peter Dimako, Editor. “Still Waiting…” turns out to be better than expected, rolling out more laughs than the first film. There are faces you’ve seen before with a few fresh ones in the mix. Now, two years have passed and the folks at Shenaniganz have their work cut out for them. They’re losing clientele (their young target market especially) to a place right next door to them called Ta-Ta’s Wing Shack. They’ve lost their best looking waitresses to the place run by the charming hot shot Calvin (Robert Patrick Benedict) who’s having an absolute blast sampling the buffet of female employees. Think of Ta-Ta’s like Hooters except I think the former serves better food. Dennis (John Michael Higgins) is managing the joint and is aching for a promotion. The only way he’s going to get a boost in status...

DVD Links: DVD News | Release Dates | New Dvds | Reviews | RSS Feed There is Plenty for you to browse through today as this week I have more than just new releases to preview as release dates have been set for Criterion's Blu-ray release of Akira Kurosawa's Ran and Paramount has announced the original Star Trek titles for Blu-ray as well. It's all here in this week's addition of On DVD and Blu-ray... Enjoy! Body of Lies Just yesterday I posted my Blu-ray review of Body of Lies, which is an impressive release in high definition on top of the fact I think it is also a good movie and definitely one to consider picking up this week and certainly the best new release in terms of non-catalog titles. I don't have a copy of the DVD edition, but if you are a Blu-ray owner you could do a lot worse than this release.

A sequel to Waiting... (No cover art is available yet for the sequel) appropriately titled Still Waiting... is in post-production, and will likely be a direct-to-disc affair for early next year.
What surprised me more than the fact that a sequel to Waiting... was being made was how much of the cast from the original movie is listed in the credits for this one. Justin Long, Vanessa Lengies, Luis Guzmán, Andy Milonakis, Rob Benedict and Alanna Ubach are all credited, not to mention several others. And on top of that, two more big names have been added to that list - hopefully their roles are fittingly large in Still Waiting...
Tania Raymonde of Lost (Finally an excuse to post a picture or two of Tania!) and Adam Carolla of The Hammer are credited in Still Waiting...
Some may scoff at the direct-to-disc business model, but it always makes money for those involved,...

Paramount Vantage is bent on the vengeance comedy Beat Kip, optioning the screenplay by Summer of Tears comedy troupe co-founders Todd Waldman and Rob Kerkovich and developing the feature with Comedy Central.
"Kip" follows three struggling college graduates who find a purpose in life: to travel across the country to fight an Ivy League student who stole one of their girlfriends.
Waldman and Kerkovich formed the Tears in 2004 and have toured the country ever since, buoyed by more than a dozen online shorts.
The Los Angeles-based troupe's slacker humor won them the U.S. Comedy Arts Festival's jury prize last year for best sketch comedy. The group has a TV pilot in development at Warner Bros.
Kerkovich next appears in Lionsgate's comedy sequel Still Waiting ... with Justin Long. He and Waldman are repped by ICM.
