Sullivan goes in with Owens and shows him photos, and explains that there were no signs that she was attacked. Owens tells Sullivan that it doesn't remind him of anything and asks Sullivan why he's there. He reminds Sullivan that he was fired, and Sullivan reminds him that a foreign company invaded the U.S. under Owens' watch, and there had to be consequences. Owens figures that something is going on in Hawkins and military strength isn't the answer. Sullivan asks him what is the answer, pointing out that men like Owens created the problem in the first place. Sullivan points out that everything that has happened in Hawkins can be traced back to El. Owens insists that El is dead, but Sullivan doesn't believe it, and figures Owens is helping her.
