Alex gets his water turned off. Alex then takes down a sex trafficking ring. There is no resolution yet about his water.

I REALLY liked this episode. It gave us a look at Alex's deepest moral sense. Doing the right thing no matter the cost. Also, Det. Alomares sought justification for the murder of his friend; a truly noble gesture. ADMIRABLE QUALITIES IN BOTH MEN!! In the end, all the bad guys go to jail....and MORALITY wins out.

This second episode of #AlmostParadiseTv introduces a Filipino girl who is initially bribed into helping #AlexWalker carry water to his Gift Shop. Following an opening fun sequence that appears to set the scene for a light episode, the girl is told that her father has been killed. Sitting alone in the hospital, she seeks comfort from Alex. Fantastic acting by the girl and #ChristianKane to switch so quickly from play to grief. #ArtAcuna, who portrays Detective #ErnestoAlamares, has a major role in this episode - and has his own grief from the murder, as he knew the man and his family. Acuna shows his acting range and his fighting ability much more in this episode, and he is quite impressive in both. Now I have Acuna as well as Kane to watch in this series. Sex trafficking of young girls is the main topic of this episode, and it is not given the light touch. An episode with heart, depth of character, and grief, where a sensitive talk by Alex's doctor is followed by a gentle scene with Alex and the girl sitting silently "asking the ocean for answers" (as Ernesto tells Alex in the first episode). Powerful episode.

It's certainly is personal for Detective Alamares. A friend of his got murdered at the airport and the body dumped at sea.

The dead man was a security officer and was killed by a colleague who was in cahoots with an international ring of people smugglers.

Alex wants to investigate as the young daughter of the dead man had visited his gift shop.

Alex ends up impersonating a buyer from Texas. However his heart might not be able to take all the excitement.

It is hokum fun, not too deep and cannot be taken that seriously. Both Alex and Alamares get some action scenes.

Alex's health issues looks contrived at times though and it is only the second episode.

This is great to watch with the entire family. Great acting and scenery. Can't wait for the next season.each episode is as good as the 1st.
