OMG this is BAD
stsorrell17 April 2022
I ran across this title on Tubi and I thought I'd check it out, expecting to see a low budget flick. Boy was I right. The story, the acting, the cinematography was all total crap. The only two things this movie is good for is a good laugh and to make sure your fast forward button works. I skimmed through it in less than five minutes and pretty much saw all I needed to see. What a waste of five minutes.

WARNING! DANGER, Will Robinson, DANGER! WARNING!
PurpleCrayon20142 January 2021
This is not a fan film but the 2nd full blown production of a story involving THOR, which dates back to God of Thunder (2015). These two films are exactly the same, story wise, just repackaged for a new audience. Every value of each production is crappy, worst than some fan films but better than watching paint dry. This film is in a long line of others being gobbled up by Invincible Entertainment Partners, for like $50.00 a piece. This is not a bad thing, as Invincible is filling a need of streaming services such as NETFLIX and AMAZON to fill their coffers with unlimited content. These films, such as Thor:End of Days, are exactly what they intend to be - low budget mindless entertainment to take your mind off of.....whatever. These Invincible films also carry big name stars, usually in their first roles, and will use just enough Title endowment and marketing to get your attention - even for a brief moment. Yeah, it's free enterprise, so you keep going Invincible Entertainment Partners - keeping us entertained.....(JK)

AKA God of Thunder
BandSAboutMovies6 July 2022
Warning: Spoilers
You can't copyright a thunder god, so while this isn't a Marvel movie, it is a Thor movie and it puts the son of Odin (Max Aria) against Loki (Mike Milian). If you say, "That sounds a lot like 2015's God of Thunder," that's because they're the same movie.

Loki is in San Diego taking over people's minds while Thor loses his memory and must remember why he's on Earth and also how he showed up in a movie with a $1.5 million dollar budget.

This was directed and written by Thomas Shapiro and there was a review on IMDB that said, "Don't trust the Shapiro family" that sounds pretty ominous.

There are also a lot of reviews calling this the worst movie ever and really just dunking all over the fake Odinson. Trust me, it's not the nadir of film, but you can see it from there.

Mercy is for the Weak
nogodnomasters9 January 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Re-Release of 2015 God of Thunder

The classic battle of the gods moves to southern California, because given a choice of anywhere in the universe...Loki (Mike Milian) comes to San Diego with the ability to turn people into mindless followers with dilated pupil contacts/ Loki could speak English in Valhalla or wherever, but can only do the demonic voice enhancer thing on earth. Thor ((Max Aria) arrives later and manages to combat legions of armed followers armed with a blonde (Jacqui Holland), a faulty memory, a set of abs, and a diploma from the Arnold Schwarzenegger school of acting. They don't stand a chance.

If you haven't turned the film off by 15 minutes, you are most likely a fan of Nick Chamberlin's "Bomb Squad." Acting, script and special effects were all sub standard.

No swearing, sex, or nudity.

It's not nearly as bad as people are saying.
kdreynoldsno16 May 2021
Now, if you're expecting the Thor and Loki from the MCU, this isn't it. This has more in common with the mythological Norse gods than Marvel Comics. If you enjoy Norse mythology, you'll probably enjoy this. If you're expecting MCU Thor and Loki, then you won't enjoy this at all. As for as budget vs. Quality, I've seen more expensive movies that were much worse.

There's a better Thor on NetFlix the show was called Ragnorok honestly its by far a better Thor story. This one though eh it wouldn't be so bad if it had a better presence This one has no depth, soul, passion or edge. "If its going to be mellow its gotta have something or it better mean something!" -Wes Borlan.

Bad choice of actors.Max Aria, be a Thor is not mean be Machine, and firstly feelings belongs to the god's! If the god's was real and they make humans. So therefore, me and you can have feeling, in your voice in your body moves!!! Noting good her! Maybe editing is good to helping. . Get som real actors pleas! And that chose color for photography was outfit and awfully bad dead filter color, why? That color? What was that? That wasn't needed or something necessary meaningful to helping senário! Just helping Thor is more machine! If it was that so I receive your message.

Watch anything with an open mind ;)

If you're into films in general it's always a good idea to stretch your tolerance level of what you know to be mainstream. That being said Invincible Entertainment (IE) has been at these type of films for awhile. This take on Thor is initially a bit darker than what is fed to us by the high budget films Disney produces and IE really could've expanded Loki's darkness even further, but in the end it's a run, run, run film to discover what is Thor's purpose... It's a waiting game that seems to never end no matter where the backdrop takes you. This relative small project is another alternate take on the beloved comic character, Thor, and his nemesis, Loki. Like in comics many interpretations have taken place by writers/directors alike who were responsible for their take on a character. For example, look at the great writers/directors for the Batman franchise in comics (e.g. Writers: Miller, Dixon, Moore, Snyder, Finger, etc...) and in movies (From the 1960s Semple Jr. To 90s Burton, and 2000s Nolan and Snyder). Like this film one hopes it should add to the character vs. Subtract to the fandom... and that is left to the viewer in the end. Treat it as another story. It would've been a fine TV film before Disney and Marvel made the MCU. No one would've thought it was "lacking" if it was on the SyFy channel in the 90s, early 2000s. It's well thought out from the script to the cinematography to the set/costume designer, casting, and CGI directors... Heck the action/fight scenes are nothing we hadn't seen and accepted as the usual fair of yesteryear tv shows. Considering the low budget, IE did an adequate job on their take of Thor. If treated as small film, made for TV, then the viewer expectations match what this film has to offer. Don't get your proverbial super hero tights in a jam, lol. Thor: End of Days was well done with the ingredients it had to work with... Even if it was luke warm in the end and not so spicy. Hope IE turns it up some notches in their next effort. Shapiro et company should consider one of two directions or maybe add both: Horror and/or Raunchy in the next hero film. Do something Disney films are not allowing with Thor. Go full fledge hard "R", NC-17, or MA rating and the audience may be satisfied with this flavor of film.

Not bad for a $1.5M movie
sysstemlord10 January 2021
This movie's budget is $1.5M which is a fraction of a percent of Marvel's movies, you can't exactly compare. Considering that, it's not as bad as the reviewers make it seem, you can enjoy it if you know you're not watching a blockbuster, I enjoyed it, there were very few cringe moments because of the silly screams from the main actress, this could've been improved, the visual effects are even better than what you would expect from a movie with this budget.

Seriously!!!!
nadiabjc31 January 2021
Where did these actors come from, back stage? Did the director actually think that the acting of this movie is any good? Don't waste your time watching this one as I have serious regret doing so. Could have been better if experienced actors have been used and the proper sentences have been used.

Okay but generic
morgankingsley-1193520 August 2023
Warning: Spoilers
This is possibly one of the most just kind of bland action movies that I have ever seen. Nothing really much happens in it, and the plot just kind of runs on auto pilot. And it just feels like it just is being run through the motions. That all being said, I do acknowledge that the film was decently well acted, enough to be sort of beliaveable at least, and for a movie with only a 1.5 million dollar budget, the effects are actually decently good. And the fighting scenes were actually okay enough. It was just a bit draggy, and there wasn't a ton of character development throughout the duration of the film, which was what the real issue at the end of the day really was.

A Gory Bloodfest - not for kids!
dancingdryad19 September 2023
Warning: Spoilers
If you're like me, you see this movie, squint, and say, "Hey, isn't this, essentially, Marvel's Thor? Down to the poster?"

Hopefully you also noticed it's rated M before turning it on for the kids.

Why would that be? M-rated Thor? I turn it on and start googling to find out what's in store for me, and instead I discover that this movie, Thor: End of Days, released in 2020, is literally the exact same film, same actors, same plot, as Thor: God of Thunder, released in 2015. Fun trivia.

As I'm watching the movie absently, two people start to strip down, and I'm like, "Oh, THAT'S why its rated M! That makes sense!"

Au contraire, cue a deeply implausible pool and lightning scene that interrupts their after hours recreation. No nudity for us! The happy couple run inside, get repeatedly blasted by lightning and showered with shattered glass in a way that somehow leaves no injuries or fear, then the two quickly head out to investigate.

They rescue a shirtless, fallen Thor, and for some reason drag him home, rather than call 911 and not move the cratered man. In the house, the two are separated, trying to get their phones to work, when, oh no! A mind-controlled enemy!

I'm sitting here ready for Thor to wake up, come down, and save the lustful couple, surely he can do it!

But NO

Holy GOD THAT IS NOT WHAT HAPPENS AT ALL.

Instead, the mind controlled security guard SKULL STOMPS THE BOYFRIEND ON SCREEN, REPEATEDLY

NO TASTEFUL CUTAWAY.

YOU SEE THIS POOR MAN GET HIS BRAINS TURNED TO PASTE

ALL FOR THE CRIME OF WANTING POOL SEX WITH HIS LADY.

Then security guard approaches girlfriend, and I'm thinking, "Oh, okay, Thor will come down just in time to save her, and they'll become lovers and--"

NOPE! SECURITY GUARD SLASHES HER THROAT AND BLOOD SPLATTERS EVERYWHERE.

You also see Thor graphically stab the evil security guard, but that's so tame in comparison to what we just saw it barely registers.

At any rate, this is a corny, bloody slasher! Just don't get caught off guard and find yourself be eating a burrito during the unexpected episodes of gore, like I did.
