Sex & Nudity

  • A man tells two other men that he finds a woman attractive, he then makes a joke that implies he is going to have sex with her and we see him enter the bathroom where the woman is standing; the man approaches the woman and we see him try to force her against the wall until a girl enters the bathroom and the man backs away from the woman.
  • We see men and women taking off their clothes to cross a river (we see a young man's bare back and chest and a man's chest).
  • We see two women's bare backs (they are wearing brief-style underwear and bra) and a woman takes off a girl's dress (she is wearing an undershirt).

Violence & Gore

  • It is implied that many people drown when they attempt to cross a river and a man shouts at a woman who had instructed them to cross the river, telling her that she was responsible for people going missing after a helicopter tried to pin them; we see that a girl, whose mother is later found dead, had been brought across the water safely.
  • A woman shouts at her father, saying that they could be arrested and go to jail for smuggling people across the border; the woman adds that she would permanently lose custody of her child if she was caught smuggling people across the border.
  • A girl shouts at a woman, accusing her of being responsible for her mother's death and the woman shouts back at the girl.

  • A woman becomes very emotional as she pages through an album with photos of people who drowned in a river.
  • We see a photograph of a dead woman with her hair wet and she appears to be lying on a metal gurney.
  • A woman comforts a crying girl, hugging her tightly, as the girl cries for her dead mother.
  • An older woman tells a woman that she does not blame her for the death of her daughter, saying that the river killed her daughter, not the woman.
  • A border patrol officer warns a woman to be careful, saying that he found a pre-teen boy dead, and that he appeared to have been beaten to death with a pole.
  • A woman tells another woman that fire fighters dredge a river for bodies of people who drown trying to cross it, saying that two to three bodies are found per week.
  • A man warns a woman that it is "not safe here" in a city plaza, after the woman turns down the man's offer of money to smuggle people across the border.
  • A woman asks her father if he is in trouble and the man says no. We hear a man telling another man that he had been separated from his traveling companion when the police arrived and broke them up.
  • A woman tells another woman that a girl will be sent to a "home for girls" until her family comes to claim her.
  • A woman tells a girl that she had lied about the age of her son because her son had been taken into foster care and she was ashamed.
