Simply Awesome.

In our generation, horror movies, comic books, and heavy metal are the norm. Don't they deserve their own awards show? Scream Awards 2007 was one of the most entertaining things I've ever seen and only left me wishing I could have been there. I mean, where else can you see Bruce Campbell, Harrison Ford, the original cast of Star Trek and costumed superheroes and villain audience members in one place? As if your awesome meter wasn't already in overdrive, they topped it all off with a tribute to the god of shock rock- Alice Cooper- and jamming right along with him was Slash and Rob Zombie. If you're in the 16-30 age range, find yourself a copy of this. It'll be well worth your time.

"...and the winner is ... 28 WEEKS LATER!"

Finally, there is a show that celebrates all the big, bloody, scary and disgusting horror films... Scream Award is probably the most sickest show that has ever been created! Goodies for us horror fans.

Scream Awards celebrate the best horror, sci-fi, and fantasy films, and the best comics that have been created. This year we see films as 300, Grindhouse, Harry Potter and of course the sequel of Dany Boyle's 2002 horror-hit 28 Days Later: 28 Weeks Later. (Winner of BEST HORROR) I looked forward to this year's Scream Award, 'cause my personal favorite movie "28 Weeks Later" was nominated for some prices. Among other Best Horror and Scream of the Year. 28 Weeks Later won the prize "Best Horror", and hit films such as "1408", "Grindhouse", "The Descent", "The Host" and "Hostel: Part 2". Unfortunately stole 300 the prize for "Best Scream" where "28 Weeks Later", "Harry Potter", "The Descent" and many other films were nominated. But Scream Award is absolutely worth a look next year, when new bloody horror films get the chance to win a Scream price ...

disgusting, sad, stupid... just for starters
ptb-810 January 2008
This social catastrophe is a real TV show that 'celebrates' movie cruelty and visual mutilation. Served up with stunt atrocities and cheering 20 somethings set in the Greek Theatre L.A. and with bewildered 'celebrities' THE SCREAM AWARDS makes light of movie screen cruelty as a fun experience... and finds reasons to give awards to the most gruesome, vicious, pitiless and socially destructive movie sequences that seem to be made to inspire psychopaths and kids who kill classmates. In this misguided TV award show the award is a vampire spike, all shiny and perfect to jam into someone's chest.. or elsewhere (Jay Hernandez' comment from the 2006 'awards). This, in 20 years time will be the sort of psychological blight that will be case studied as part of the 'culture of death' phenomenon that this next generation will see and reject... and study as, like the Holocaust, a depravity foisted onto impressionable teens hopefully to see a generation bred to enjoy cruelty as entertainment. Watch this appalling TV show and its pathetic attempts to justify its existence. Irresponsible corporate depravity at it's most shameless.
