Simple concept, solid execution

Can anyone really be upset with a good body swap episode? Either way, 'Once Upon a Swap' is a decent example of what Owl House "filler episodes" should be.

It provides a small bit of insight into the relationship between Eda and Lilith while also exploring the latter's motives. This small bit is still enough to be both interesting and engaging - encouraging further viewing for the rest of the season to get the eventual pay-off of Eda's and Lilith's confrontations.

The other two plot lines following King in Luz' body and Eda's in King's body are entertaining on their own too, without the need for lore and story like mentioned above.

okay filler episode

It was entertaining, cute, and somewhat hilarious. There was some humor I found relatively funny. Otherwise there is a lot of problems with this episode. While you expect filler episodes to be somewhat bad, the owl house has many of them that are extremely good and better executed than this one. In my opinion, this is was one of the worst, if not the worst owl house episode, and its not even close. It was boring a lot of time and why couldn't Lilith see that her sister was not acting like herself. You should not dumb down characters to make it more interesting. Despite its flaws, it has some great moments and there are many positives that I listed above, which is the reason it is a 7/10.

Edas stryline as King: 7/10 Kings storyline as Luz: 8/10 Luzs storyline as Eda: 6/10.

This episode is okay but not bad

This episode is okay however it's just missing something that makes the owl house so good. This episode is basically filler because theirs no growth of characters it's just characters swapping bodies and seeing each other's hardships which isn't bad at the core but again nothing was learned from this episode all the characters stay the same and theirs no development. The most we learned from this episode is eda wanted to join the emperor's coven.

Best part of this was King's body swap, I almost can't remember anything else, It was a cute episode, but King in Luz's body was the best part. Pretty generic besides that, we really didn't need a body swap episode.
