Darn good

I love Rodney Carrington's brand of humor. He not only does the stand up jokes but towards the end does a couple comedy songs. I find him extremely funny. He must have one heck of a relationship with his wife because some of the jokes he tells would get me killed. Boobs hanging, ass widening, etc. If I had said anything like that I would have never seen her without clothes on again. I have both seasons of his short lived show "Rodney". I thought it was a great series and was surprised when it was cancelled. A lot of his humor seems to be drawn from his real live experiences which makes it even better. Okay they want ten lines of text so I am doing fill space typing . Their requirement is a little long for some shows, IMO.

Rodney Carrington: Live at the Majestic (2007)

*** (out of 4)

I had never heard of this comedian but this concert film was on television so my girlfriend and I decided to watch it. Carrington comes off like your typical redneck with the cowboy hat and tight pants but this guy certainly isn't from the same school as Jeff Foxworthy or Larry the Cable Guy. The concert runs just over 70-minutes and contains non-stop profanity as Carrington gets into various dirty jokes involving sex with his wife, drunk sex with fat women and just about anything else that involves sex. These jokes are usually mildly entertaining and funny but we've heard this type of stuff before and often times they've been told a lot better. What really stands out here is at the end of the show when Carrington picks up an acoustic guitar and sings various songs, which are all about sex, his dick and women's breasts. There's one song where Carrington sings that women, if they love their country, should expose their breasts and sure enough various women in the crowd start to lift their shirts up. The material here isn't groundbreaking but it does make for a fun evening.

too many beeps

Warning: Spoilers
This would have been a really funny comedy show if it wasn't for the 'Beeps'. Every time he mentions s..t or f..k its beeped out. OMG American sensors. Get a life you people. Bad language is used all the time. LisTen to an Australian Comedy show and you will Know what I mean. I got a few laughs from this but the Beeping was too over the top.

I can't believe you allow full frontal nudity in some things (like movies etc) yet you BEEP a comedy show. Unbelievable. !!!

If you watch a Comedy festival show, from say Montreal with world wide acts you will hear a lot of bad language and still get a fantastic laugh. I hope this helps the viewer. ( 10 line to make a review)
