Director: Steven Peros.
Writers: Steven Peros and David M. Flynn.
A necrophiliac doctor, a sexually inappropriate physician, a murdering ghost - how could this film go wrong? The Undying seems to have been put together for a television debut. Instead, this film finds itself being released on DVD through Mti Home Video December 13th. Understandably, this is director Steven Peros' first film, but the chills of the horror genre are left behind in favour of a more supernatural and romantic approach to filmmaking. The result is a pretty tepid thriller.
Robin Weigert ("Deadwood") plays Barbara a night doctor who has taken residence in a new locale. Recently, her fiance died by idiocy when he backed up into speeding traffic while taking a picture. Now, she laments his demise but she has something to keep her distracted. A Civil...

The Undying is a supernatural thriller created by first time feature filmmaker Steven Peros ("The Lot"). This is a haunted house styled film that incorporates other themes of romance and possession as character Barbara (Robin Weigert) falls for a Civil War ghost. Can she make him mortal? Surely only gods can do this, but Barbara's passion ensures she will at least try.
The Undying has received some positive early reviews and Peros freely admits being influenced by other horror films including The Changeling and Robert Wise's The Haunting (IMDb). This title also has a release on DVD December 12th through Mti Home Video and those interested in an intriguing storyline of death, possession and rebirth can preview the film's trailer below.

Lonely female doctor falls in love with the Civil War ghost haunting her new home. Lonely female doctor schemes for them to be together by having his spirit inhabit the body of a coma patient. Possessed coma patient wakes up; also turns out to be a serial killer. Bad things happen. A ghost story in the classical sense, obviously.
That’s the basic gist of The Undying, a supernatural chiller of ghostly romance gone horribly wrong, that Mti Home Video will be releasing to DVD on December 13th.
Robin Weigart (Calamity Jane on “Deadwood”), Anthony Carrigan (“Parenthood”), Jay O. Sanders (Green Lantern), and Wes Studi (Avatar) star in this Steven Peros film he co-wrote with David M. Flynn.
Seduced by the ghost of a Civil War soldier, whose spirit dwells in her new home, Dr. Barbara Haughton contrives to have him live again in the body of a man who died in her hospital.

Director Steven Peros sent along some info and a bunch of exclusive photos (see them below), from The Undying, his new supernatural film from Roscommon Pictures. Peros, best known for scripting Peter Bogdanovich’s Kirsten Dunst-starrer The Cat’S Meow from his own play, also wrote Undying with producer David M. Flynn.
Robin Weigert (first photo, with Paul David Story), who nabbed an Emmy nomination for playing Calamity Jane in HBO’s acclaimed series Deadwood, stars as Dr. Barbara Houghton, who moves into a rural Pennsylvania farmhouse as she starts a job at a hospital. Still reeling from the death of her fiancé, she becomes intrigued by the story of Elijah, a Civil War soldier whose ghost supposedly haunts her new home. When Jason (Anthony Carrigan, second photo), a stabbing victim she has treated, is taken off life support, she steals his body and takes it to the farmhouse,...
