Nice retrospective documentary

Warning: Spoilers
This 26-minute retrospective documentary provides several fun stories and nifty information about the making of the punk sci-fi comedy cult classic "Repo Man." Writer/director Alex Cox and producers Peter McCarthy and Jonathan Wacks discuss how it took two years for the script to be adapted into a film, that it was the participation of executive producer Michael Nessmith that finally got the picture green lit, actor Richard Masur was briefly considered to direct, Dick Rude was initially in the running to play Otto, real life repo man Mark Lewis inspired the bulk of Bud's dialogue, the generic product placement came about due to an inability to secure any actual product placement, cinematographer Robby Muller's occasionally irksome preference for master shots, and how the movie made full use of various Los Angeles locations. Moreover, Cox talks about how someone told him the infamous John Wayne story. Further enhanced by brief interviews with Sy Richardson (who ad-libbed the hysterical "Get in the car" lines), Del Zamora, and Dick Rude, this one is essential viewing for fans of "Repo Man."
