John Krasinski still can’t resist cracking up at The Office bloopers.
The actor, who played Jim Halpert, has been reminiscing about The Office on his If press tour, but a stop off at BBC Radio 1’s breakfast show had him creasing with laughter.
Presenter Greg James played Krasinski a clip of The Office cast corpsing during the filming of the Dinner Party episode in Season 4.
Michael Scott (Steve Carell) and Jan Levinson (Melora Hardin) are showing Halpert and Pam Beesly (Jenna Fischer) around their condo.
Scott is particularly proud of his tiny, wall-mounted plasma TV, but the actors were unable to make it through the scene without laughing. Here’s the moment Krasinski watched it back:

Sue Naegle and Ali Krug are in business with Universal Studio Group’s UCP.
The Emmy-winning pair has signed an overall deal with the Universal division through which their newly established Dinner Party Productions will develop and produce series.
This marks the first time former UTA, HBO Entertainment and Annapurna Pictures boss Naegle has worked directly with Universal. She exited her Chief Content Officer role at Annapurna in 2022. As we reported at the time, Krug had initially taken over her TV division responsibilities, but has since reunited with her former boss and long-time production partner to launch Dinner Party.
In development is a series adaptation of Elon Hilderbrand’s novel ‘The Five-Star Weekend’ for Universal’s sister streamer Peacock, with Bekah Brunstetter penning the script. The book follows a popular food blogger, who, after a tragedy, brings friends from distinct times in her life to spend a weekend in Nantucket.

If there's one thing that sums up the best comedy moments in "Frasier" it's that classic switch from the sublime to the ridiculous. Kelsey Grammer's stuffy psychiatrist was supposed to be endearingly pompous, and mostly remained lovable even at his most snooty. But sometimes, he and his brother Niles (David Hyde Pierce) were just straight up off-putting with their insufferably hifalutin tendencies.
Thankfully, these character traits were the precise thing that made for some of the best moments in the beloved sitcom, which ran for 11 seasons from 1993-2004 and which has recently returned in the form of a neither remarkable nor disappointing revival show. As "Frasier" writer, producer, and showrunner Christopher Lloyd said in Vanity Fair's oral history of the show:
"The vanity and self-importance always helped us lead Frasier into comic situations ... It's not funny to see a guy step into a manhole and get hurt. But if...

Brad Pitt was one actor that the Zero Dark Thirty star Jessica Chastain never thought she’d work with. Especially since she lost a role in a potential Pitt film because of who she was in the movie industry.

Chastain once shared that she wasn’t initially meant to co-star with Pitt in a Tree of Life. Before the Terrence Malick feature, Chastain was still a bit of an unknown. She tried auditioning with Pitt in another film, and couldn’t secure the role because of her lack of starpower.
“Right before I auditioned for the Tree of Life, I was a complete unknown,” Chastain once told Vanity Fair. “And there was an audition for a film that Brad was going to do, and I was supposed to play opposite him. And I was trying to get an audition,...

There are many indicators that the WGA writers’ strike will soon be over. The most reliable one, of course, is that the WGA itself has announced that it will be. There are still some “i’s” to be dotted and some “t’s” to be crossed but after 146 days of picketing, the WGA has come to a tentative agreement with the AMPTP.
If hearing it directly from the horse’s mouth isn’t enough proof, however, there’s another strong reason to suspect that the writers’ strike is wrapping up: we’re already talking about a reboot of The Office again.
The prospect of fresh episodes from one of TV’s most popular and successful sitcoms is never too far from studio executives’ minds. Based on the British version of the same name, the American Office ran for nine well-received seasons and is currently a reliable streaming tentpole – so much...

“The Wrecking Crew” was written by Jonathan Topper prior to the WGA strike. Additionally, Topper’s deal was negotiated and closed prior to the WGA strike.
Plot details are being kept under wraps, but the project is being described as a buddy action movie.
Dave Bautista, Jason Momoa are being eyed to headline “The Wrecking Crew” and both were in talks to star prior to the SAG-AFTRA strike. The duo initially set up the project in 2021, and after a bidding war, the project landed at MGM.

Dinner Party — the jazz/hip-hop supergroup comprised of Terrace Martin, Robert Glasper, Kamasi Washington, and 9th Wonder — have shared “Insane,” a new song recorded with Ant Clemons. Listen to the single below.
“Insane” boosts a sampled drum loop from Mtume’s “Juicy Fruit” with fuzzed out bass, layering Glasper’s famous piano and Clemons’ vocals on top of the 1983 track’s syncopated rhythms. The result is what Dinner Party does best, blending the soul of R&b with hip-hop production.
Dinner Party formed back in 2020, when the group released a self-titled album that they quickly refreshed with Dessert, a new version of the LP that featured Snoop Dogg, Herbie Hancock, Alex Isley, and more. One such song, “Freeze Tag,” was one of the best releases of the year.
This Friday, March 9th, Dinner Party will perform at Terminal 5 in New York City. Then, in April, the group will head to the desert,...

Have you ever refused something you just didn't want to do? Maybe it was a trivial task, or perhaps, it was an important life moment, but something about the situation didn't sit right with you. It compromised your values. It didn't make sense to you. Or you just didn't want to do it, plain and simple, no reasoning required.
The same is true for actors. I know this comes as a shock. They're just like you and me! Gasp! When a television series runs long enough, the actors know their characters well. They have a strong understanding of what their characters would (and wouldn't) do and sometimes have to call the writers out on dialogue or contradictory story points. At other times, an actor morally disagrees with what's on the page to the point of refusing to participate. Even if the writers think the character would do or say a certain thing,...

Todd Fancey’s vocals have been heard by millions, as the multi-instrumentalist for the New Pornographers and as the balladeer behind “That One Night,” the song that’s central to what is arguably the most cringe episode of “The Office,” 2008’s “Dinner Party.”
The hilarious, earnestly yearning delivery isn’t all that true to Fancey’s artistry, though his new album, “Star Dreams” (out today), nods to the year 1980, which also saw the release of Benny Mardones’ “Into the Night,” a Yacht Rock classic not dissimilar in sentiment.
The 10-track album under the banner Fancey was co-produced by Vancouver music veteran Allan Rodger and sports contributions from vocalist Micae and New Pornographers drummer Joe Seiders, who traded his sticks for the Yamaha Dx-7 electric piano/synthesizer. That instrument’s preset sounds found their way into some of the ‘80s biggest songs by Whitney Houston, Kenny Loggins and Luther Vandross, a...

Exclusive: Vertical Entertainment has acquired North American rights to Chris Naoki Lee’s feature directorial debut, Dinner Party, in which he stars alongside Kara Wang (Top Gun: Maverick), Imani Hakim (Mythic Quest) and Kausar Mohammed (The Flash). The global indie distributor has slated the pic for a day-and-date release on August 19.
Inspired by Lee’s own experiences growing up in a diverse community outside of Los Angeles, the indie ensemble drama follows Izzy (Hakim) and boyfriend Cal (Lee) as they go to a casual reunion dinner party amongst Cal’s childhood friends 10 years after high school. The friends navigate socially sensitive topics, though some fall on deaf ears when it comes to the hyper-masculine Miles (Charles Hittinger). It doesn’t take long for Izzy to notice that Shannon (Wang), co-host and childhood friend to the boys, seems uncomfortable around Miles, as the film simmers into a slow burn that erupts in the final act.
