It was a pretty good ending to the series. I'm glad that they stay together and are having a baby and adopting one. Better finale than most other TV shows.

A dud finale

Warning: Spoilers
'The King of Queens' ran for 9 series without ever really becoming one of the better sitcoms of its time.
This finale episode unwisely tries to fool us into thinking that Carrie and Doug will split up, with us of course knowing that this is very unlikely to happen.
None of the characters were ever very likable - Arthur here is very annoying, but it does end with a semi-decent final scene.
It's not up there with 'Seinfeld' in terms of lousy sitcom finales, but it's not great either.

Going out with a wimper

I really enjoyed this series until the last season despite its geographical goofs. The writers seemed to run out of ideas, and like all current Hollywood writers they started to throw in constant "gay" this and "gay" that. Lazy, stupid writing....
Another reviewer mentioned the Seinfeld finale, which I thought was brilliant! The 2 part finale of The King of Queens was pretty bad and full of silly cliches. Glad we were spared future baby storylines.
