One of the most romantic characters in the great Revolutionary struggle, General Marion, is successfully reproduced in this photoplay. His exploits in this picture illustrate his character as well as any in his career. His feats at the fall of Fort Watson in 1781 and the victory at Eutaw Springs the same year are woven into a graphic, historically accurate and entertaining picture. The women in the picture show themselves worthy mothers of the nation. The setting is historically accurate. This film would be a valuable adjunct in schools for the illustration of American history. The Champion Company has done itself credit by its excellent work in this film. - The Moving Picture World, May 27, 1911
