I liked the rhythm of Pete Holmes' youth pastor. However, the jokes and story were so-so. Don't know why this is a two-parter. Also, who else is getting tired of Helen Lovejoy?

Directionless, hamfisted, patronising, sickening, depressing - these are all descriptors too kind for this episode.
The Simpsons always made fun of church, but it wasn't joyless like this garbage. It not only failed to get a single laugh out of me, it actively annoyed me. Thr Simpsons must end.

Simpsons Never Shies Away from Controversy

The Simpsons have never shied away from controversial topics which are meant to trigger emotions and have people see things in a different way. Right or wrong. As a Christian, I do not find this episode offensive. Obviously, Pete Holmes wrote these episodes in homage of his friend Rob Bell. The script, like Bell, reminds people of Christianity's basic message to love one another. Often people, in reading the Bible, focus on the trees and miss seeing the beauty of the forest.

Irreverent, ungodly, anti-christian garbage. Promotion of the New World Order's ALL RELIGIONS non-religion. You should be ashamed of yourselves for this trashy, scar on the back of the faith of millions and millions of true believers putrid pile of dung. Hopefully, you are able to write something better than this sub-subpar rubbish, so write something better already..
