In an attempt to save their marriage, Robert and Shelley Collins move to the country with their sixteen-year-old daughter Millie. Shelley's feisty friend Kay and Robert's best friend, lawyer and playboy Mark agree to help the family settle in. The Collins meet their new neighbours, the Meakins. Finding them slightly odd, Robert and Shelley try to keep them at arm's length, made difficult by their teenage daughter's growing friendship with the Meakins eldest son, Ben. Millie has also made a strange new friend whom she is keeping very secret for reasons that soon become apparent. Unbeknownst to the Collins,' the great deal they received when buying the property came with horrific hidden ties, which are slowly coming to light and will ignite on a preordained date with horrific consequences for the family.
