Sophie's PR alias Doris has a New Zealand accent. Gina Bellman, who plays Sophie, lived in New Zealand until she was 11. Sophie has a habit of playing PR experts with New Zealand accents. Her alias Kristy Conolly - a PR expert with a New Zealand accent - appeared in the original Leverage (2008) episodes The Miracle Job and The Scheherazade Job.
The episode is a direct poke at the countless celebrities who have created wellness companies over the past decade, many of them being tied to famous actresses that are partially or fully retired from their acting careers, such as Gwyneth Paltrow and her Goop product being one of the more infamous.
The second of three episodes directed by Noah Wyle.
Harry's alias, Kent Allard, is the real name of the superhero the Shadow.
When Sophie (Gina Bellman) declares, "She tasks me. She tasks me and I shall have her." she is quoting from Moby Dick, a book that is also heavily quoted by Kahn himself in Star Trek's Wrath of Kahn (1982) which is yet another nod to Hardison's (Aldis Hodge) own Star Trek fandom having an affect on the team. In an earlier episode, Eliot (Christian Kane) translates Parker's (Beth Riesgraf) Klingon, explaining that Hardison had bet Eliot he couldn't learn the fictional language. Star Trek references are a time honored tradition within Leverage, used both to illustrate Hardison's "age of the geek" but also as a wink to Jonathan Frakes (who played William T Riker on Star Trek: Next Generation) who has directed several episodes and is a friend of the show.
