- Seina and his friends sneak out after curfew for a little late night action, but when a pretty girl turns out to be a hologram, the boys end up as subjects in some very private experimentation!
- Now settled in his GP Academy dorm room, Seina, Rajau, and Kenneth are watching a comedy that Kenneth finds highly amusing, though Seina doesn't find it as funny. The show is interrupted by a transmission from the GP administrators, causing Kenneth and Rajau to stand at attention and salute. Seina joins them as the transmission turns out to be a roll call. The three are told that tomorrow is the entrance ceremony, and to ensure they are well-rested for it. They salute and acknowledge the order.
Kenneth and Rajau explain that the roll call is done every day until graduation at the same day and time every evening. After roll call, Seina says he's going to get to bed early, but Kenneth and Rajau convince him to break curfew and go out. They explain that because the GP is made of candidates from different worlds and cultures, every day is a holiday, which translates into parties every night. Furthermore, Kenneth adds, the parties frequently have attractive women.
Having second thoughts, Seina tries to leave, but Kenneth goes after him and drags him back, saying roommates stick together. They get to a door, which Rajau says is the most dangerous part. Kenneth adds that it's dangerous if you're spotted by the surveillance system. Seina asks how so, and Rajau shows Seina a mark on Kenneth's forehead that the security drones brand on those that they catch breaking curfew. He says that those who receive ten of them get punished by cleaning restrooms on a GP freighter.
Rajau manages to get the door open, but in the process trips the alarm. As they try to evade the drone, Rajau says the marks are hard to get rid of, but it's not so bad if you get one where you can hide it. The boys round a corner, but are met by a group of cadets running toward them, also pursued by drones. The drones tag several of the fleeing cadets, including Rajau and Kenneth, who tell Seina to go on without them. Unwilling to leave them behind, Seina piles his roommates into a GP air car and takes off. They crash through a door, taking off the car's roof, but finally manage to evade the drones.
Kenneth tries to hit on a couple of girls that the trio pass, but when they see the mark on his face, they scream and take off. Rajau comes up with an idea to use paper bags to hide his and Kenneth's faces as they make their way into the city. Embarrassed, Seina is even more unsure about what they're doing.
At a cafe, Kenneth asks Seina if he has a girlfriend. Seina says not really, and asks Kenneth and Rajau if they have one, to which they answer no. Kenneth says he's really picky about finding the right girl, while Rajau says relationships take too much work. As they are talking, Amane approaches them and takes them to a bar, where she has them join her at a table. Amane and the boys have a couple drinks. Seina notices that Amane's behavior is quite different than what he's used to, saying she's quiet and nice even though she's frequently flirted with him and has been moody at times. Amane asks the boys if they're doing anything, but before Seina can respond, Kenneth and Rajau eagerly say they want to join her. Amane triggers a switch, which causes the floor below them to start descending. The area fills with gas, knocking out the boys. The last image Seina sees before he blacks out is Amane wearing a gas mask, chuckling.
When Seina wakes up, he finds himself bound, as well as Kenneth and Rajau. Amane greets them, then changes into Erma, saying things aren't always what they seem. As Erma leads the boys into a corridor, followed by two men in lab coats, Rajau is smitten by her, while Kenneth suspects that the boys are part of what he calls "people hunting" -- where they're guinea pigs for their human experiments. . Hearing the word "experiments," and imagining himself being dissected, Seina starts to panic, but one of the men pushes him forward, telling him to keep his imagination to himself.
Kenneth reassures Seina that they aren't in danger -- experiments these days are done in controlled simulations. Rajau adds that they don't physically harm people -- rather, personal data is collected and used to create a simulation of the person, like Amane.
Erma introduces the boys to a group of men and women in lab coats, who greet them with applause. Thinking the situation isn't too bad, Seina gets worried when he is placed into a chair with a device on his head and his arms and legs immobilized. After a few moments, Seina is released and told they are done. Erma takes Seina to the reception area where Kenneth and Rajau are waiting. He says the experience wasn't as bad as he had anticipated, but when he hears muffled moaning coming from behind a door, he runs inside to find the others naked and being examined by several women in lab coats. Giggling, Kenneth and Rajau tell Seina not to rescue them. Smirking, Seina decides to leave them alone. Erma asks Seina if he wants to join them, but he decides to pass.
Erma drops the boys off at the dorm, but when they get in, they are greeted by the GP security drones. Meanwhile, Erma returns to find out that Seina's personal data got into an outside network and somehow unleashed a virus that corrupted their servers and destroyed their data. The scientists say they've managed to retrieve Seina's personal data, but when it materializes into something different, Erma remembers Seina's bad luck.
Back in the dorm room, Seina tries futilely to remove the mark that the GP drone left on his face. Exiting the bathroom with his hand holding a towel covering the mark, he overhears Kenneth and Rajau talking to someone. When he discovers they are talking to Kiriko, he drops the towel and she sees the mark on his face. Kiriko tells Seina she sees he's been busy and hangs up. Seina tries to call back, but trips and falls trying to get to the monitor as Kenneth and Rajau ask him if he wants "paper or plastic."
