Parental alienation, suicide, narcissistic hidden abuse, faith, god, addiction, fear and how during all there is in this world, the dance. No matter what you are feeling if you move your body your mind will follow. This is what it is to be human. Well done you shining heart angels! (If you just can't stand to watch the main stream wokie movies these days this is a genuine return to the human spirit via perseverance hope and love) It is a return to innocence.

Wonderful depiction of life after a loved one's suicide and hope

This movie is near and dear to my heart, as I lost my teenage son to suicide years ago. It paints a realistic, heartbreaking picture of what life is like after suicide - the guilt, the pain, the complicated grief. Yet the movie gives us hope. Hope seen through the eyes of a wounded therapist who is desperately trying to save another family from experiencing the same grief she had to survive. The themes of forgiveness, faith, therapy -whether it be in an office or on the dance floor - shine brightly throughout. The best metaphor shared was the story of the man jumping in the hole in the ground to save the another man who had fallen in, stating, "I've been here before and I know the way out." We all need someone to shine the light on us in our darkest moments.

God & Salsa is a beautiful portrayal of life after loss. Everyone can relate to some aspect of this movie, whether it be through grief, counseling, divorce, or life's many challenges. Yet, the movie demonstrates how God can create beautiful things from life's difficulties. I truly enjoyed the redemptive story line of the main character and how she chose to live a life of purpose after her loss. The message from the movie is one I will not forget. The acting was very moving. The dancing made me want to dance! The music was also very enjoyable. Loved the movie so much that I'm watching it again.

Great movie, great CAST. 👍 I enjoyed this movie as it covers current life's event's, forgotten faith restored, separation of families and over coming a loss and replacing it with saving a life. I recommend it since this movie is made for the family, young adults and those that are struggling with feeling lonely & not heard. Finding a purpose and a hobby. The dancing was great and how someone struggling with life events can overcome and putting life challenges into God's plan. This movie is great to watch as movie party and good to share with your social media friends and family. Hope you will.

'God & Salsa' Spoiler Movie Review
Yo! Life is too short and no one ain't got time to sit down to read a long-drawn-out one!
Dance is like therapy, you're too busy learning the step and expressing yourself through the moves to think about anything else.
The main characters in the movie are Raquel, Shane, Monica, and Matt.
A brief summary of the plot is a grief-stricken therapist is determined to help a suicidal teen but to help him, she must trust God with her own pain and let go of her guilt.
The possible themes are God, dance, relationships, grief, suicide, parent-child relational problems, forgiveness, fear, character building, and teen issues.
The moral for this story is "There's a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance" (Ecclesiastes 3:4).
I think the audience who would like this movie are concerned parents, teens, and Latinos.
In my opinion of the movie, the transitional blackouts were too long and dragged on to make someone think a technical difficulty occurred and lose interest in the movie in general. The dialogue was original and well-written, but cheesy in some parts. The acting was full of conviction and gave something that anyone could personally relate to in my own experiences with grief and pain, but there were a lot of parts where the actors overreacted. The performance was raw, natural, strong, and complex and gave depth and appeal to the characters. The soundtrack was inspiring and tuneful. I loved this movie because it tells a story about a cause that sets close to my heart.
Sadly, suicide is the 2nd leading cause of death for kids 10 to 14 years old. Which makes you ponder, what would make a 10-year-old want to commit suicide? In fact, in 2020, suicide was the second leading cause of death for youth ages 10 - 14, and adults ages 25 to 34, suicide was the third leading cause of death for people ages 15 to 24, the fourth leading cause of death for ages 35 to 44, and the seventh leading cause of death for ages 55 to 64. Worse enough,15 is a difficult age because friendships have the tendency to become all-consuming, which explains why peer pressure tends to be a huge issue. While on the other hand, parents believe teenagers become most difficult to raise at the age of 15; as they seldom don't talk much.
Overall I would recommend the movie because it not only talks about the hard issues that teens are faced with of grief, pain, and suicide ideation, but it shows and tells you how to get through it; as this movie can help teens use dance to express and rediscover themselves through while depending on God to help them heal and let go so they can move forward in life.

A movie that will make you want to hold your loved ones even tighter today, tomorrow and ALWAYS!! (HEARTS!!!) Great music selection, amazing cast & the perfect title for a perfect movie!!!!!! It's amazing to know that God is ALWAYS & will be by our side!! Have your tissue box ready. A must see, for sure!!!! Beautifully written and directed by two amazing human beings!!! The movie "God & Salsa" (2022) is so touching and heartwarming-its sensitive heart wrenching storyline makes this movie so relatable-so real.
I did not share much because I do not want to spoil it for future viewers, but will share this much-the strong and powerful storyline may surprise you. The entire cast is superb. This movie will have you fastened to your screen.
I also truly enjoyed the Salsa music and how it was woven throughout the movie to the end. This movie is superb. I am looking for the musical selections presented in this movie, hoping that there is a "God & Salsa" sound track available for online purchase.
