Thirteen of the tracks used in the series had previously been performed by Neil Innes as part of the "Rutland Weekend Television" series, occasionally acting as direct inspiration. This is most notable here, where the performance of ''Boring'' in [Rutland Weekend Warning System (1975)] also saw Innes dressed as Batman to perform the song.
During the song "All In The Name Of Love", a clapperboard can be seen with a recording date of "12.9.79" written on it, along with the name of the director and cameraman. Although this is just fictitious within the piece, there's no reason to assume that this wasn't the actual date of recording.
One of just three episodes where Neil Innes doesn't perform a song as his regular dinner jacket wearing character, "Nick Cabaret". (The other two being 2.1 and 3.6). However, a photograph of the character can be seen on the front of the Innes Book of Records.
