Warning: Spoilers
There are spoilers all over this thing(and this review, so I can go into detail) for season 1 of The Sarah Connor Chronicles, of course, since it explores some of the later episodes of it, and is found on the Blu-Ray release for it. It is made up of 3 parts, entitled "Re-Boot", "Future War" and "The Demon Hand", that come to 39 minutes altogether.

This consists of interviews with the cast and crew, all of whom have something to add within their area of expertise(and there is a very clear love of what they're working on), clips from the show, behind-the-scenes footage, and incomplete effects shots. They get into a lot of different subjects and dive into a few key episodes, rather than tediously trying to find something to say about every single one. They don't go into them chronologically either, it goes by topics. It does expect you to have watched the series up to that point, and does not try to bring you up-to-date on what has happened in it.

They of course get into the relationship between T:TSCC and the movies. More specifically the first two. The aesthetic of 2029 LA and how grateful they are that it was inexpensive and low-tech to recreate. In addition to the physical set they did of course add to it: with 3D CGI, which today has replaced the model shots, as was used in the 1984 original. For that one scene, you know the one, they made sure Cameron moved and looked exactly like Robert Patrick as the cop in T2. Summer Glau in general working on getting the Terminator mannerisms right. Her performing ballet and how that affects Derek is discussed. Brian Austin Green acknowledges the pressure on him to live up to Michael Biehn's legacy. They put a lot of effort into building the endoskeleton as a real life prop, having usually used animation to recreate that. They analyse the design of the T888 when compared to the T800. How the time travel machine works. The new flying HK. Their decision to risk alienating fans through the adoption papers plot point.

There is disturbing content and violence in this. I recommend this to anyone who wants more insight in the tremendous effort that went into making the title. 10/10
