Worst Cirque du Soleil I've seen

This is really sad and pathetic. I haven't seen any of their later productions yet, but they appear to have hit rock bottom. Instead of wonderful acrobatics, we have lots of flashing lights and stage pyrotechnics, some lame choreography, even lamer music sung by lots of generic 'singers', none of any distinction, and about 4 or 5 actual circus acts, which all just repeats of earlier acts. And there are no clowns and zero humour! Instead of spending all their money on stage pyrotechnics and poor singers, they should invest in some new actual circus acts.

Shaky cam, jump cuts, jitter, oh my

Following in the worst tradition of modern cinema, the director takes apart an artistic performance and chops it into video vandalism. . . 3 second nibbles . . . Impossible to enjoy the artists and actors.

One can only warn others to avert their eyes, and seek other entertainment.

Of course, if one likes to watch with a vibrator attached to their skull, this will be quite entertaining.

It's a disservice to the acts and all their hard work, to have it rendered into unappetizing glop.

If they tried watching their works on a nice, big, bright 8 foot wide video projection screen, they would be aghast at how BAD their visuals are.

GET A TRIPOD!

--- --- --- I. Hate. Shaky. Cam. Don't encourage the industry. But don't just shun the movies - that won't register. Go to the theater. When you see SHAKY CAM in the theater, walk out, DEMAND A REFUND. If enough people do that, it will send a clear message to Hollywood blockheads.
