Mad About Cow Testing One Day & Cow At A Time
DKosty1231 November 2009
Warning: Spoilers
This episode is a total victory for Jerry Epison as he he gone full circle from threatening Shirley with a knife for not making partner to making partner. It develops this plot really well.

The plot about Mad Cow guest stars Valerie (from TV sitcom One Day At A Time ) as Carol, a cattle farmer who is being told by the government that she can not test all of her cows for mad cow because nobody else in the industry does. A subplot where Denny is bugging the Carl character about being Valerie from One Day At A Time has to be trimmed because of episode length thus creating references which some think are goofs about Denny referring to her as Valerie.

The final season DVD set has the scenes that were edited out for those who are interested in this. The last season seems to have a lot of edgy episodes which makes me think this series went out at the top of its game.

Jerry is a partner

I got to answer to the crazy guy on the previous review, the guy ( Hitch) watching every episode and posting a review of every episode. You actually wrote " it's good they were not approved for a 6th season " ?

You must have the worst taste ever, the fact this unbelievable and fascinating TV show was cancelled is a shame, one of the biggest lost ever for TV. If you don't wish there was more episodes, why are you watching every single episodes ?

Anyway some people will always remain stupid, must be the mad cow for you my friend.

Jerry is a partner, Denny Crane vote Obama to the big surprise of Alan, Denise and Brad are still together.

9/10 , great fun once more.

So So Episode

I have to admit that I enjoyed Jerry's efforts to get made a partner in the firm. They talk about his quirks but they also make him out to be mentally unbalanced. The wooden cigarette sending him into character is so unbelievable. The Mad Cow thing with Valerie Bertinelli (one of the worst actresses I've ever seen, going back to that sitcom she started out in) was so dull. I did like the guys shooting each other with paintball pistols as they argued about their voting preferences. Anyway, it's good they were never approved for a sixth season.
