Lets you see where the two candidates came from..

... and that is from two entirely different life stories. It shows all of the personal loss that Biden has endured as an adult, and his reaction to rough spots along the way, some of his own making, some circumstantial, some tragic.

Where Biden came from humble roots, Trump came from extreme wealth. It talks about the three major influences on Trumps life - Roy Cohn, Trump's father Fred Trump, and - this was a surprise to me - Norman Vincent Peale. Trump saw his dad pass the older brother over for himself, so he learned the lesson that the worst thing that you can be in life is to not be a killer, to be weak.

Maybe OT a bit, but watching this made me feel sorry for Donald Trump the child. What chance did Donald Trump have of becoming anything else than what he is given that his biggest influence during that time was his ruthless father? It's how I felt about Charles Manson as a child. I remember reading a piece in the old Life Magazine at the time of the Tate/La Bianca killings. It showed the entire life story of Charles Manson in pictures. Here is this cute little boy in a picture with his brother at about age four or five. But abuse and neglect as a child and assault in prison as a young man made him what he was. As a child my heart bled for him, but as an adult all we could do was lock him up to keep him away from the rest of us.

I'm not saying Trump is a danger on the same level as Charles Manson, I'm just saying I had the same emotions towards both after watching this very good documentary on the candidates in the 2020 election.

To put it simply, after watching this program, you will have a better understanding of what makes the 2020 candidates tick, if you didnt already know. One of documentary TV's best shows of all time.

Amazing job

Frontline does an amazing job detailing the history of both candidates, Trump and Biden. Just from an informational standpoint, I learned a lot about Biden's history. He is a figure defined a be grief - losing his wife and daughter in a car-crash as senator-elect (so this would have been right after his election victory), and later in life, losing his son to brain cancer. His struggle with stuttering explains his, sometimes, verbal gaffes. I knew about Biden, but not to this extent. The only thing I wish for was an even deeper dive!
