Whoo! Mother Trucker is here

I'm okay with low budget as some of the horror genre's greatest icons cut their teeth on such fare but, I find myself liking and hating this flick in equal measures. For example:

Hate:

1. Whoo must be the writer's favourite word as it was used excessively throughout the movie.

2. The "body parts" in the semi are the quality of a carnival house of horrors.

3. The blood splatters in the back of the semi were obviously red spray paint.

4. Gun carrying motorcycle baddies would never be so lame.

Like:

1. The basic story despite the fact that the teenagers interaction with a psycho killer is standard trope.

2. The make up of semi being a hybrid truck/bus was pretty cool.

3. The actor portraying the trucker was fun crazy.

4. Enjoyed the twist ending.

Stay out of the Frig

Mark Anthony Baca plays a psychopathic serial killer trucker inspired by Ernest T of Mayberry. We initially see Taylor (Mindy Gilkerson) locked up in the back of his rig that looks like it is from a Mad Max film. It looks like an old school bus on the back of a semi truck. It is littered with body parts and Taylor believes co-operation is the key to survival. There are four kids driving from California to Vegas for college. Mother Trucker abducts Alexis (Evan Keys) soon to be his favorite. The other three follow and attempt a rescue but get nabbed.

The trucker talking got old after a while. The sound quality was uneven. I liked the new tires on his beat up rig. In one scene his hands are cuffed behind his back and then the next thing you know they are cuffed in the front. The film ends right when it gets good.

Adrenaline rush with some comedy added in

I watched this movie twice. I loved the comedy relief but I was also on the edge of my seat because Mother Trucker convinced me that he was a mad man and serial killer! Thoroughly enjoyed this movie from start to finish. Check it out if you haven't already! If you love a great horror flick this one is for you! So I highly suggest renting this one. I am so happy my cousin also has a small role in this. Got to watch him act and he did a great job! Way to go Lance! I like the comedic timing as well plus they did a really great job on the special effects! I may have to watch it a third time and with Halloween around the corner I will most likely be watching it again. Great performances everyone!
