You turn on this episode and feel like you've MISSED an episode (or maybe you turned on a whole other show by mistake)!
How is all this happening without any build-up? There's no continuity. Suddenly, all these characters are just shoved into this brand-new life in this brand-new community, and you get the feeling everything is being RUSHED big time, because it's the last season.
For instance (in season 5) they didn't just show our intrepid group walking through the woods battling walkers and eating worms, then suddenly, (right the very next show) being thrust into Deanna's world in Alexandria! No...there was a build-up to that happening. There was doubt in the minds of Rick and a lot of the others, as to whether the people in Alexandria would be "safe" and "worth the risk." After all, didn't they learn that lesson in Terminus...not just to rush into things and automatically trust people? I guess not.
Don't get me wrong. I was excited about the whole "idea" of the commonwealth. I thought it could all be very interesting. I just wonder what the rush is? It's leaving me feeling irritated and confused.
Oh well. I guess I'll just have to accept that this is what's going on and watch the show for what it is. After all, I've watched it this far. And where's Aaron and Maggie? I don't know. It all feels like sort of a mess.
By the way, I really like Princess, and was disappointed there wasn't more Princess in this episode.
