10 out of 10 for Denis Leary
safenoe17 March 2023
Warning: Spoilers
The guest appearance of Denis Leary and his lost cell phone was absolutely inspired, and Denis should have been nominated for an Emmy Award or something like that.

Anyway, the banter between Denis and Bart was crackling big time, but unfortunately the second half got a bit existential by half. Hence why I rated Lost Verizon a 6. Yes, 10 out of 10 for the first half but sorry 6 overall.

Yes, maybe it's because I'm a fan of the golden era of The Simpsons, being the first 10 years, so maybe I'm biased somewhat. But I'm happy to still watch decent episodes post-Golden era, of which there are some.

A Weak Episode
e_daneva27 December 2023
Lost Verizon is a kinda bad episode. I have watched 4 other Season 20 episodes, and there is 1 bad, 1 okay, 2 good, and 1 really good. This episode falls in the bad category. At the beginning it just feels very boring, the beginning is not great. Once the episode goes on it becomes a bit better, but it is still a weak episode. This episode has no heart, even when it tries to. The only funny parts are the end and the " Everybody Poops " part. This episode is the worst episode in the season so far, but I have just begun Season 20. So far Season 20 is doing really good, with the best episode being Eeny Meeny Maya Moe and the worst Lost Verizons so far. This is just not a strong episode for me. In all, I give this a 5.7 out of 10.

Observation!

Has anyone noticed how this episode was released just 2 weeks after the T-Mobile G1 (also known as the HTC Dream), which was the first Android phone? I think the timing of this episodes' release was perfect just for that reason alone, especially considering the contents of this episode! Only downside: that Android phone was exclusive to T-Mobile and the phone in this episode of The Simpsons is a Verizon phone, so... that's a bit of a shame. Whatever though.

Not the best episode of the show, though it does pick up as it goes along.

It has its moments, but it's not an episode I'd rush to see again.

what is wrong with the creators

come on Matt groening

This is a show i worship and towards which m extremely biased .But it seems the Simpson's is just not funny at all. I have a collection of all Simpson's episodes on DVD to date and i don't get tired of watching them multiple times even now.whenever i was down i used to put on the Simpson's DVD.The movie last year was awesome too.The last bit in the first episode was unbelievably funny but again that was just about it. lost verizon and then this episode where absolutely flat.

I'm happy Seth rogen is gonna write a few episodes in this season but please please do something about this Matt if Ur reading this cause its not funny material anymore.

I as an hardcore Simpson fan still believe that the creators can indeed bring back the lost magic but only if they strive harder towards making that happen.
