Warrior Nun S2 E1
nebohr10 November 2022
Both my wife and myself love the Warrior Nun series. We both grew up in fairly strict, religious households and we know about the kinds of violence which is in the background of most religions. During this episode there is roughly equal amounts of both story and character development this episode. After Ava and Sister Beatrice go out and become drinking buddies they get into a bit of a fray. Excellent hand-to-hand combat sequences (they are rather brutal and augmented with quite detailed computer graphics) with Sister Lilith being an absolute human meat-grinder. Not a lot of plot development but some tense moments.

Even Better than S1
ariawolfpll11 November 2022
This Season was top-notch in all level.

I was the one who truly enjoyed the first season, and to be honest : I didn't mind Ava's personality, sarcasm or her running away because that literally what everyone would have done if they were in her shoes I didn't mind the religions aspects I didn't mind the CGI nor the Monster's aspect I didn't mind the cliffhanger In fact, I loved all the things above

BUT this season was really different. You could see and feel the that crew really took a good care of people feedback and try their best to surpass them.

We have now more actions and fights, from different characters, all as beautiful and entertaining as S1 This season has fewer fillers and is straight to the point (and plots). It's dynamic without rushing it.

The dialogue that some could found "childish" or "cheese" is now much more mature, raw and more real than expected.

The character's development this season is great ! Good guys, Bad guys you really get to know them and see them change for the better or the worst ( you would have to watch to found out) Some peoples were disappointed about the outfits of the nun, well, they got upgraded ! Plus, we got to see them in different type clothes and nun outfits, which was great !

If you liked the scenery and landscape in S1, you would be pleased this season as well.

We also got to see more of the halo powers and what Ava can do with it.

And, it's more actual to our current World as well (the use of phones and social media, they did mention TikTok lol)

The only reason why I gave it a 9 is because of that cliffhanger, that is a bit different from Season 1 but still make you feel like "What ?? No !?" hehe

Other than that, I really did like this season more than the previous one actually, but then again, the opinion of one might not be the same as yours. You should give this show and this season a try and make your own opinion.

Excellent start with great CGi, but a bit weird time jump
namob-4367311 November 2022
The second season jumps forward weirdly from the ending of the last season. Although it is sort of explained, it is also kinda annoying. The dialogue is still not the best ever, and a couple of the extra's barely know how to act.

With those negatives out of the way this is still extremely fun to watch, and have such compelling characters, interesting sceneries and great sets that it take your breath away. This season they have also up the ante comes to special effects - honestly looking better than the latest Black panther movie.

Sure this is still close to the b-series of Xena and Hercules from the 1990s, but it is so much fun, have so much greatness and entertainment that you do not care. I love this show and i think the actors do to.

This was a great start of the season, although I know they can do better.

8/10, and I hope this greatness continues.

Ep1 - Incredible start
katie-harkin13 November 2022
Incredible start to the show. As a fan of season 1, I love how it had great pace and really set up the paths that each of the characters were going to travel down. It filled in some gaps but left lots of mysteries to solve of the rest of the season. It has beautiful development of relationships between all the characters. The action scenes had amazing choreography and BTS show how involved the actors were in them. There was a beautiful balance of the violence and fear juxtaposed with a gentle building or continuation of the romance from last season. I love that it's being done with a tenderness but realistic understanding of the barriers they face 10/10. Love it.

This episode was very fruity. Love it
pozzypop30 November 2022
Warning: Spoilers
First of all where's Mary? And then I just found out she's dead but I refuse to believe that there's no way. Who's the new homeboy? A new love interest maybe?. And also the first scene of Ava and Beatrice was definitely fruity. Are they a thing now? Ava literally kissed Beatrice on the cheek that's something right? And Beatrice's reaction was funny. I love it. Sister Camilla and Mother Superion becoming a duo I did not expect but I like it. And Lilith being a badass. I have no words in that fight scene of Lilith it's freaking epic! This is what I'm yearning for every action genre and they did it perfectly epic. Great job to the stunt men and women and to the casts.

Great start to a season!
lcotaku8 December 2022
The episode starts off great with a recap and it was good for someone like me who didn't feel like rewatching season one. The locations were beautiful and were great backgrounds while still maintaining an emphasis on the subject of the scene.

The first episode really establishes the situation of what's going on without just blatantly telling you "THIS IS HAPPENING." They found ways to establish what's happening through actions of characters and dialogue between characters in an environment that isn't random at all.

The editing was on point. Really flowed and reminded me of how the Skam Series' episodes are edited and I love Skam.

The chemistry between characters is fun to watch. The introduction of some new characters really makes you want to keep watching to ask "who are they? Why do I care? Why do they matter?" And those questions do get answered.

I personally really liked the characters' outfits; specifically Ava and Beatrice.

I specifically went back to review episode 1 because I thought it would be the most important to review if anyone wanted to know others' thoughts on the first episode of a season without getting spoiled.

Hoping for Warrior Nun season 3!
