Sex & Nudity

  • In Series 1, some moderate referances to sex are heard throughout the episodes. They are not too strong.
  • David is implied on multiple occasions to be sexually attracted to his mother.
  • An old woman is mentioned to use a vibrator, which a side character has to give batteries for, although this is only mentioned and never shown.

Violence & Gore

  • We see many people murdered in various ways such as stabbing, hanging, poisoning, bludgeoning.
  • One character is obsessed with historical serial killers. A lot of dialog describes how they killed their victims.
  • In Series 1 there is some comic violence.
  • Mr. Jelly and Mr. Jolly comedically fight in a children's play area.

Profanity

  • Some uses of strong language "fuck" and milder language such as "shit","piss" "arse" and other mild-moderate language.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Since the series is a comedy horror, there are scary sequences that some viewers will find disturbing but the scary scenes are tongue-in-cheek in nature and are not to be taken seriously. Most horror sequences are played for laughs.

  • It is revealed that one of the main characters starred in "dwarf porn", and is later naked infront of multiple characters, with only his bottom exposed.

Violence & Gore

  • Offscreen, Mr. Jolly's head is chopped off, but it is later revealed to have been fake
  • In the Halloween special episode there is strong comic gruesome violence, including a man's head being chopped off and cut open like a pumpkin.
