At Linda's house, Amenadiel is cleaning up after Charlie when Lucifer comes in. Lucifer tells Amenadiel about Rory, who they don't know about, and Amenadiel notes that Rory sounds a lot like Lucifer. Amenadiel points out that he had a child, and Lucifer notes that Amenadiel and Linda had a human child while Rory is an angel, and he isn't into incest. Considering that Lucifer might have had an angel child with a human, Amenadiel considers the possibility that Charlie could grow up to be an angel.

She's named the frog "Dan" and complains that it smells, but realizes the frog is sensing something and vows to figure out what's going on.
Linda is at her home going through the notes on her book, and hides them when Chloe barges in. Chloe asks if Lucifer was there, and figures it's weird that Lucifer hasn't returned her texts or calls. She notes that Lucifer hasn't disappeared on her since he ran off to Vegas and got married, and Linda suggests that Chloe is worried about her and Lucifer losing their level of trust. She suggests that Chloe ask Lucifer what's going on, and checks an app she has to trace his location... and is choked to discover where he is.
In Miami, Lucifer calls Maze and has her find any of women he's looking for that were pregnant nine months after he was with them. Ana Christina Perez Del Rio is the only one still in Miami. Ana is teaching dance at a hotel, and Lucifer goes up to her. He also talks to his former loves in New Mexico and Seattle, and the pictures of their daughter don't match Rory. Chloe wonders why Lucifer kept it from her, and he says that he didn't want to upset her. He apologizes and she makes him promise there'll be no more secrets between them. She tells him how much Lucifer changed her life, and is the reason she became a rabbi by bringing out her greatest desire. Lucifer asks to see a photo of Esther's daughter Mira, who ran away five years ago. Esther has a photo of Mira from before she ran away, and Lucifer figures she doesn't look like Rory. When he describes Rory, Esther says that sounds like Mira. Esther says that Mira ran away to find her father, and Esther says she doesn't know who the father is. Chloe tells Esther that they'll help her find her daughter, and Lucifer agrees when Chloe nods at him.
Dan goes to Lux where Amenadiel is studying his police procedure book. Amenadiel eventually notices Dan despite his earbuds, and Dan tells him that Rory brought him up from Hell. Dan picks up on what Amenadiel is studying, and Amenadiel thanks Dan for helping him get into the academy. Amenadiel says that he's been feeling bad about the fight they had before Dan died, and Dan understands. They can't hug, and Maze comes in and greets Dan. She admits that she could see Dan earlier in the penthouse, but pretended not to, to prank him. She says that she really missed Dan, and he says the same about them.
Lucifer flies Chloe to a gas station in Central Valley, California, Chloe asks him if he's flown anyone else before, and Lucifer tells her that it's much more romantic with her in his arms. She says that if Lucifer and Esther had a thing, it's okay because she had relationships before Lucifer as well. Chloe figures that Lucifer is still keeping secrets from him, and he mentions for the first time that Rory is an angel. He then says that Dan came back to Earth, and explains that Dan is a ghost. Chloe wonders why Lucifer is keeping secrets. Lucifer says that they need to focus on why they're there, and Chloe agrees. A PI that Esther hired traced Mira to the station but the trail went cold.
The duo go inside and Chloe shows the owner Esther's photo of Mira. He says that he hasn't seen her and Mira never worked there. Chloe notices an avocado farm nearby, and the owner tells her that he ran the hippy owners off a year ago. Lucifer wants to pursue the matter further, but Chloe buys some guacamole from a stand in the station and leaves.
Outside, Chloe tells Lucifer that the owner is selling guacamole dip even though the owner claim there has been no one at the farm for a year. She figures the owner is hiding something from them and goes to look for the hippies.
Walking down the road, the duo find a farm. All of the residents run away from them and hide, and a girl comes out of a tent just as the owner pulls up in his pickup. He aims his shotgun at them and tells them to get off his property, and Chloe threatens to call Social Services. The owner says that everyone is there by choice, and Lucifer uses his soul gaze on the girl. She says that she wants to go home, and the owner yells at her and the others to go inside.
Lucifer loses his temper and advances on the owner, who shoots him in the chest and knocks him down. The shot has no effect and Lucifer gets back up. The owner's friends run over, and Lucifer and Chloe easily take them out, enjoying themselves in the process. Lucifer questions the owner, who says that Mira isn't there.
Chloe calls in the police, and confirms that the kids are runaways who were forced to work in the orchards. They'll be reconnected with loved ones or taken to safe homes. Lucifer notices a drawing hanging up that matches the one in Esther's photo of Mira, and the girl they talked to earlier says Mira met a guy, Rob Daniell from San Francisco, online and ran away to be with him. As they go, Lucifer tells the girl to say a little prayer if she needs anything
Making some calls, Chloe gets Rob's address. She says that Lucifer should go on his own, and figures Lucifer is scared that Mira might be his daughter. Lucifer blames herself for what happened, and Chloe says that what matter is going forward. If Mira is Rory, Chloe assures Lucifer that they'll figure it out together. Lucifer calls to Mira and barges in, and Mira comes out and Lucifer realizes that she isn't Rory. Rob says that he's Mira's father, and Lucifer apologizes to both of them. As Lucifer goes, he tells Mira to call Esther because Esther is worried about her. Mira says that she has often considered it, but she said a lot of hateful things before she went and didn't think Esther wanted to see her. Lucifer tells the girl that Esther never stopped looking for Mira, and when Lucifer describes how he met Esther, Mira realizes who he is and she was the only man who could have been her husband that she couldn't find.
Rob says that at first he thought he was being scammed, and Lucifer asks him how he realized Mira was his. The man says that he felt it in his gut, and Lucifer remembers looking into Rory's eyes.

Lucifer is drinking at the penthouse, and Dan comes in and tells Lucifer to take him back to Hell. Not being able to hug Chloe and Trixie is worse than Hell. Lucifer says that once Dan reached the mortal plane, he became intangible and Lucifer can't hold him to fly him back. Dan blames Rory, and Lucifer tells Dan not to blame her because she was just looking for Lucifer and figures Rory doesn't know the whole story and neither does he. Lucifer insists that if he had known Rory existed, he would never have abandoned her.
Dan wonders if Lucifer believes Rory is really his daughter, and Lucifer says that it was like he knew Rory. He tells Dan that Rory is his daughter, and Dan congratulates Lucifer and says that having a daughter is the best. Lucifer wonders if he's screwed things up already, and Dan tells Lucifer that he has to try because he's learned people have to take advantage of the time they have with their children before it all goes away. Dan says that Lucifer should go get Rory, and Lucifer says that he will.
Chloe tucks Trixie in bed, and senses someone in the house with her. She turns and finds Rory there, and Rory hugs and greets her mother.
