Pretty fun, distracting game

This game/games... This episodic game plays out like several episodes of CSI:NY Each "Episode" has an intro, which like the show, sets up the murder to be solved. The player then has to collect "Clues" to figure out whodunit. Then you get to process the clues and interrogate suspects, which petty much involves dragging the appropriate clue onto the suspects head, and if it is the right clue, you get to move on, if it is the wrong clue, the suspect acts irritably and insults you.

Pretty fun and distracting, except for some reason (probably licensing) they did not use the Who song BABA O'REILLY for the intro music (Probably 'cause permission to use the song would cost 17 million bucks which was way out of the game's budget) The game uses the principal cast for voice, and sometimes it can get pretty funny when you get responses to inappropriate questions to suspects.

This game by Ubisoft is like most of their little puzzle-games, where you look at an image of a crime scene and pick out the things that are out of place, and sometimes this includes items that are not necessarily part of the crime scene. But you got to get them all and their locations are not that forthcoming.

There are several kinds of Minigame involved, and if you get stumped you can skip over 2 minigames per episode. These are mostly easy, but tedious, as in you got to drag all the molecules on a slide into their proper places to identify substances. Or, a clue consists of a paper that has been shredded and you got to unshred it like you've seen "Montana" do in the TV show a hundred times.

If you finish all four episodes, you are then allowed to download the bonus episode, and this 5th episode has a couple of new puzzles that are pretty difficult.

If you are a fan of the show, this is a pretty good, but geeky game to buy.

I was hoping that the game would be more like the fictitious game "Lab Rats" which was played by the "Clumsy but Buxom" Liz Vassy and Hodges (That guy who keeps irritating everybody in the regular CSI series)- But that game was a bored, or, rather, Board game.

This is the kind of game that you play it once through, and you are done with it, because there is basically only one way to solve each crime, and after you get rewarded for getting through the first 4 eps, you get the link for the 5th ep, but after that, thats it. If they update the game, I'll have to come back and add to this comment.

Oh Yes, I forgot to mention, in the first episode, look carefully at the "vic" (victim) when you use the "facial recognition software" - I got a kick out of that (saying who it is, would be a spoiler).
