This short deals with a matter of honor for many gays out there (not so much to me, I must say, but I do understand the issue) which is coming out to your parents. That's the dilemma of Alex (Andreas Strinder), a 30 year-old guy who keeps thinking on the subject while having a dinner with mom, dad and his brother. The proud of the family has plenty on his mind and keeps imagining possible scenarios of how each member of the family would react to the news that he is gay. That's when the humor comes with his doubts and imagination, picturing them meeting his boyfriend at an art exposition, or testing the area just to see if his brother would react badly or not if he was kissing another man in public, or even thinking on the possibility of everyone accepting who he is, with no problem.
"Eimai Omofylofilos" ("I Am Gay") creates believable scenarios and situations to an important issue, here presented in the Greek culture context, but it can be applied to another cultures as well, at least those that aren't so repressive against homosexuals. Yes, those "what if'" kind of moments, a mix between paranoia, overreaction and reality is all true, and if you're positive enough sometimes they can be taken very lightly just like Andreas does in here.
It was fun to watch, the actors were really good in their roles (ugh that brother is a real character) and it just couldn't be better. Great! 10/10
